After a hectic week (endless meetings), what do you wish for the most??? For me, I just wanna sit back, relax and think of nothing else!! … & seems like someone out there sense that I need to rejuvenate soon before I’m burn out!

Thanks to VanityTrove, I was invited to an exclusive Trulife new product launch event & get to enjoy a complimentary (customized) spa service by Willow Stream Spa last week!!

Correct! Event is held at Willow Stream Spa, Fairmont Singapore – 几 atas 一下有没有 ! 😀

Arrived pretty early actually.. 🙂 But before I go into more details of this event.. how many out there actually heard of Trulife (万代)? How about Poli Medical?

Trulife (万代) is actually another quality brand by Poli Medical Company Pte Ltd!

At the entrance were all the event host.. Names that I can recall are Dylan Hu (Director of Poli Medical Company Pte Ltd), Debbie from Vanity Trove & staff from Asia PR werks. Friendly bunch of people who helped me with the registration when I got there.. 🙂

Well, being early means you gotta wait longer. T_T But good thing is that there are food to fill my stomach before it starts “rioting” in me..

I must say, I definitely love their satay!! There were many who love the fish as well.. Infused water were served during the event.. It’s my first time trying infused water and I like it! (P.S.: I don’t consider restaurant “lemon” water as infused water ah pls!!) Maybe I can start finding some infused water recipe (will share with you guys in another post!!)

Now, can I go straight to the highlight for the day already?? I can’t wait to share it already!!!

So the product they’re launching is/are……… *drumroll* (make a guess??)

Wah… Bird nest???

NOPE NOPE!! Not Bird Nest (I wish it was~ LOL)! These bird nest are Trulife existing products. It’s suitable for pregnant women and after childbirth, infants, children and growing teenagers, elderly with poor digestion, people suffering from fatigue or weak digestion, people recovering from long bouts of illness. I will not elaborate more about this since it’s not our highlight of this post…

Actually it’s sweet more than bitter. In fact, after trying, I wouldn’t even say it’s bitter..! It smell and taste totally different. Texture wise, it’s not as thick as the Collagen Cell Renew so it’s actually pretty ok for me.. But I think to finish all 10 bottles continuously I will need some motivation.. LOL!!

After the tasting session, we were also being briefed/educated by Yingjie (holding a TCM degree!) the importance of Ying & Yang in our body.. It was a pretty interesting session!! Did you know that too much of either one is not good for your body. Balance is the key word!

After all the talking.. we were being lead to our massage room to enjoy our customised serviced by Willow Stream Spa!!

Good evening all! Today I’m gonna share with you my FIRST revamped Vanity Trove! What? What revamp?? yea.. Vanity trove had changed their concept last month and now you will no longer rec’d any SURPRISE at your doorstep..

From July onward, subscriber can pick what they want to goes into their trove!!! (Yeah or Neh?)

For me i feel .. it’s a neh.. Yes, you get to pick what you want but u no longer get to anticipate any surprise nor try new product (by “force”).. When we (people) are given an option, we usually choose to pick something we’re more comfortable with. We also tends to measure the sample by its value and in the end, good sample that are of low value may be overlooked..? You know u paid S$25 of course u want to maximize every dollar and get the best samples! Given a Go60 mask (retail price: 5 for S$60) and a Beauty Diary mask (retail price: box of 10 for less than S$20??) which one will you want?? Go60 of course(!) but Beauty Diary is as good tooo you see…

Well, the only yeah part is.. i get to choose what i want! i can click click click all the expensive sample!!! Fastest finger first!! But again…. if these are all sample size (sachet 1ml, 3ml, 5ml) i don’t see a point in paying S$25 to get 6-7 sachet sample.. i can just go to the retail outlet or counter to ask for one…

CONCLUSION, i had cancelled my Vanity Trove subscription until i see any good promo! 😀 So for now.. Let’s just take a quick peep at what we have this month!

See, that’s what i mean.. i have Dr Ci:Labo 2 times (this is the 3rd!) already but i still select this when it is available! WHY? because.. Firstly! it is really a good product! Save time and save effort! Secondly, this thing cost S$130 for 120g!!! So if u do your maths, this thing itself already cost S$21.67 (20g)!

Next, Kose’s sunblock! I haven’t use this but it has been stirring my curiosity!! LOL Kose is a reputable brand and i believe this little thing should be good! I’ll review again when i start using this…

Next next~ DrGL collagen essence! Again, this is a sample that i had gotten before and it’s so good that i decided to grab it once more! Cost is a factor tooo! 30ml for S$198 – aint that crazy!? You can click HERE to find out more about this essence…

As of now… Just this 3 items it’s already worth almost S$100!!

Next up~ Kerastase hair oil! Again again! This is another good hair oil that i had tried before – when i just did my perm! It’s does wonder and i decided to grabbed it (heehee) one more time!

Kilo Off Slimming Tea! i want to clarify, not that i want to slim down.. but i thot this tea will taste as yummy as the Fruity tea (which i will show you again) but it turns out not as fantastic.. Just this 2 sachet, pls dun expect to shed 10kg off! It will be good to just drink this like a beverage.. it’s still nice to drink it as a tea than SLIMMING tea…

Last but not least! My Beauty Diary’s 2 step mask! Serum is packed at the “hot air balloon” area.. i haven try this mask but I’m pretty confident it will works well because none of their mask have failed me yet!! 🙂

OOPS! sorry!! nearly forgot about this… I think this is an extra perks for subscriber because i don’t remember i opt for this shampoo!! Although its not something fantastic but this thing will comes in handy when i go for my short trip! Nice scent shampoo and hair feels softer after wash!! *thumbs up!*

This month’s trove is a bit… half excited and half not. Why?? Read on!!

No wonder people says.. PACKAGING IS VERY IMPORTANT This not-very-eye-catching Aloe Vera Gel by Jorubi is the “Gem” of Jorubi products!! I believe this tube is no stranger to most girls out there!! BB Cream from Skin79. Many firsl are crazy over Skin79 bb cream.. but for my, i think Ettusais better.

This bb cream is a bit too runny and coverage is not there. If i need to use this, i think i will apply it on top my my Ettusais bb cream to give it a dewy glowing look! It will works well for people gg after dewy glowing look and coverage is not an issue for them. & where to get them? Watsons/Guardian/SaSa/BHG/John Little/BeautySpring! Not too hard to find ya!?

This little soap caught my attention! It’s Yuan Mandarin Orange Soap – Sweet Happiness! I like the oriental and unique packaging. As this is a sample size, we are not able to see the embossed print on the regular soap. (continue scrolling down)

Bifesta makeup remover! Well.. this is some good stuff here!! Previously i had redeemed a Bifesta makeup remover (for combination skin) too and i love it! Tho this is for dry skin, I’m still glad i got it and able to share with my mommy!!

August Trove – Rocket Science

Ah ha! It’s time again for the once a month thingy!! Ah.. Don’t worry! It’s not menses time.. It’s Vanity Trove time!!!

This month’s trove was a bit late.. And with the courier service “mis-delivery” it’s even later.. What actually happen? Ah.. Long story.. But since u insist to know, I will share a bit! (hahahaha!!)

VT had announced (on FB) that trove will be late but will still be arriving bef Aug! I’m waiting with my neck longer than giraffe’s! And on 31st morning, while I was out in the morning, the courier came! Shucks!! Y no call me!?

I called courex back to arrange for re-delivery anytime that day as I’ll be home WHOLE DAY! But they said the earliest date for re-delivery is 2Aug! Man~~! At the same time I checked w them izit a norm that courier guy not calling bef delivery? And guess wat, they said only upon request then they will call bef delivery.. (thn wat’s e diff w this courier and Singpost Registered Mail??) So I decided to drop VT an email.. With VT’s reply I’m sure we think alike! Courex should call before delivery! That is the norm! What is Mr. Courex (i’m not mentioning name but I’m keeping the delivery notification w his name) doing?? Where is the good service courex USED TO have??

Sigh…..

Anyway, here’s my trove! Kinda weird to see a pack of sth taped outside the Trove.. Did they forgot to put it in or was it an extra due to the delay??

Plenty of fun stuff!!! Quite happy with this month’s trove as it doesn’t have facial foam, toner & moisturizer anymoreeee!! Yippie!!

Just tried the grape seed extract.. WAH !! I feel as if I will hv diabetic on the spot! Hahahah!! So sweet so thick!! But the aftertaste is so yummy! Hahaha… A lil sourish but not to the extend u will goes >_

Here is the apple of my eye!! This shower gel smell sooooooo nice! It made mi feel like I’m showering in some 5 stars hotel!!! I used it this morning and I can still sense the fragrance lingering around mi when I’m in office for almost half a day already!! If it is cost effective, I might consider getting a regular size!?? Hiak hiak hiak!!! Heartz!!

Next next!! Eye therapy mask~ planned to try it tmr… Shall update over the weekend!! ^^V

UPDATE on 11 August 2012: here’s my very late update!! finally got my chance to use this eye mask last weeeek..!

Generous serum in a pack.. might not see it in my pic.. but its really der, just that the angle i took my pic is… ya BAD!

The mask.. It’s a one whole pcs thingy!! now even the neglected area get some nourish!! hahaha.. i’m not sure to say its good or it’s bad..

Good because i feel less tired aft the masking session. i dono izit because i just took a power nap of 10mins or because it really makes mi feel better.. HAHA! & bad because other than that i don’t feel anything special..

Probably other type of mask may be better for mi.. geez~!

Well well.. Here’s Origins anti aging serum!! Shall I keep this for myself or gv to mama?? Hmm…

Pure Beauty Bon Voyage Essential eye cream! I think my mom will love mi for sharing this with her!! She love this eye cream!! I had got this too from previous special trove!! The mild rose scent is really attractive!!

This is Majorlica Majorca Eye Reset gel a.k.a. eye makeup remover.. this is good.. almost works the same like my Biore Jelly makeup remover. Just that this is specially for eye area.

Just a little bit like this, smaller then 10c coin, i can remove my eyeliner (waterproof gel liner from Kate)..

PLEASE! pardon my *uncensored* untrimmed brow! i waiting for it to grow so that i can visit Erabelle! LOL!! (You’ll find out why Erabelle soon!)

Here.. see.. my eyeliner is gone without much effort.. Its a good eye makeup remover IMO. but since i already have my Biore jelly makeup remover, which can remove waterproof eye makeup too, i don’t see a point in why should i purchase this. But if u are those who needs specifically EYE makeup removal, i will recommend you to get it.. It’s quick and easy!

Alright.. summary of this month’s trove? LOVE! in fact i prefer this month’s. Tho last month is all about atas brand but giving my sth branded yet not useful to me seems pretty useless. (wah.. wat am i saying?) But its still good to have them as i can hold on to them till the day i ran out of any products (toner/moisturizer/facial foam) i can just grab one and try it!

Got it!! Got it!! rec’d my April’s Bellabox on Wed! 😀 Super happy!! interesting item in this month’s box..

This month’s box feels abit heavy.. made mi even more eager to open up and see what’s inside..! when i opened it up.. the first thing i saw is a Lemongrass House S$5 voucher!! I’m so glad!! i love Lemongrass House!!! Gona make a visit to LGH after ‘ma payday!!

Seeing the voucher made mi look fwd to seeing something fr LGH! After i unwrapped my bellabox(!) indeed…! there lies a miniature bot of shower gel!! Lavender Scent! Tried it immediately that night (as i just returned home, yet to shower!! *stink* hahaha!!) i nvr really wanted to try any lavender scent items because i think it’s too common.. everybody loves lavender..But after i tried this lavender shower gel.. i changes my perception! This is NICE! It does not have this typical floral lavender scent.. i can really feel the “de-stress” magic (lavender is famous for its destress ability)!! I feel so relax and enjoy using this shower gel..! It made mi so look fwd to my next shower time!!! hahahaha!! i think i’m gona spend that S$5 voucher getting something lavender!! Lavender essential oil perhaps.. what do you think?? *grin*

Next happy item i got is this!! Benefit’s Hello Flawless Oxygen Wow! Its a lightweight liquid foundation to FLAWLESS Skin!! HAHAH! Heard that this is Benefit FIRST liquid foundation! is it true!?? I like the way this foundation comes.. pump bottle instead of tube pack. but probably tube pack will be better when your foundation is running out.. u know y! haha! we can SQUEEZEEEE all the way for tt lil drop of foundation but we cant squeeze a pump bottle!! This travel size foundation is enuff to last me for at least a year! LOL! i shd start making good use of this already!! (Regular size 300ml: USD34)

Spare mi those nutri-fruit bar!! i HATE it!!! taste bad! smells bad!! had heard a lot of good review about this beauty drink but no chance to really explore it further.. and now! i’ve got 2 bots of this beauty drink!!! aaaw.. <3<3<3

Probably i can just throw this in my bag for any “Just-In-Case” incident!! it will be handy i guess.. plus its not very bulky!
