Masego Safari Spa

Thanks to Vanity Trove, finally I can tell my friends I’ve been to MASEGO! The first Safari theme spa in Singapore, I guess.. Or at least first in Jurong at least!! Hahaha! I made use of my Masego Voucher in April Trove for this treat… Woooo!

Ok, nw tell mi, what comes into ur mind when u see/hear Safari?!? Leopard prings? Oops! Prints I mean.. What else? Zebra? Giraffe? Tribes?? Warm ambience?? Brown khakis color related stuff?? Ok… Very close to wat I’m thinking..

But before that I wana tell u… This journey to Masego is… Tiring! At least 10min walk from Boon Lay stn!

The pic only shows 1/4 of the journey.. It’s both convenient and not convenient to ppl who take public transport! Convenient cuz u can tk a train to Boon Lay and u’ll see Jurong Safra. And not cuz u’ll have to walk for 10-15min! And now that I’m blogging this.. Suddenly I thought to myself… “why din i thot of chking for shuttle bus!?!” is der one to Safra!??

But nvm, I’ll take it as exercise..! After a 15 walk, here I am!

Aft a right turn, Masego is here welcoming u!!!

Standing at the entrance, this is wat I see.. Beautiful was my first thot..

I was greeted by a few friendly staff.. Served w ginger tea and asked to fill up a form.. After that, my masseur leads the way and brought mi to the changing room!

They even hv steambath room available here..

Very nice and spacious toilet cum changing room cum locker room.. after changing into my sarong, I headed str8 for my body massage!!! And that….. I’m truely enjoying myself! The strength used on mi was good!! Not too firm and not too soft. I can really close my eyes and enjoy the whole process…

Note for shy girls.. U wun need to be afraid of anyone (masseur) seeing u nude.. These masseur are very professional! They’ll cover u perfectly! Or rather they cover themselves in a not very awkward way when they need u to turn ard.. So u wun feel like they are looking at u! *thumbs up!*

My whole body is covered w this coffee scrub aft the whole session..! I mus say, this scrub tho is a coffee scrub, but non coffee lover dun freak, the coffee scent is very mild.. It’s only until they scrub my arm then I smell the light coffee scent lingering ard mi..

Shower facility is good too! Shower gel shampoo towel all provided! See.. All my scrub “residue” being washed away… Bye bye dead skin!

I have to say, this session is very worth the long walk to Jurong Safra.. When it’s time to go, I took some last few pic to share…

This is e children’s corner.. Love those tatami-like lil stool.. Cute uh..? Haha!

And all these white huts are the spa “room”… privacy assured!

Fancy foot massage?? Here they hv a lil corner specially for foot massage lovers too..! With zebra prints seat cover!!! Lolx!

I believe here’s another seating corner too.. Nice ? Love this corner too!!

Hair Spa-ty w Mommy!

Here we are! PHYTO Hair Spa at Wheelock Place. A treat from Vanity Trove May limited edition Trove for Mother! I remember seeing fr smwhr, VT said that this May trove is specially picked for Mother. As in picked according to mother type of taste. So I suppose no matter what I rec’d, it also wun suit mi! Hahahahaha!!! =P

Upon our arrival, we were greeting by a few staff here.. One to register, one to serve u drink, one to provide consultation.. Quite friendly..

At a sitting corner, this is the first interior that you will see.. no diiference from a salon.. but, its more than that…a left turn, you will see a little consultation room with a little, i dono wat’s that called, scalp scanner(!???) and a PC. i suspect this (below pic) is my mom scalp! hahaha! cuz she went in the room before me!

That is how the customer profile looks like.. Very friendly consultant.. As she scanned my scalp, she asked a few qn about my diet, my fluid consumption, lifestyle, etc.. she not only tells me what type of treatment i will be receiving later, she also explain to me about the hair cycle and .. Wat i can recall to share is.. an average person has 25 hair cycles. To complete 1 cycle, it takes 3 years.. Something like that… that means, average person will still have hair growth up to 75 years old. Just a matter of more or less. Also, it’s advisable to use organic shampoo as commercial shampoo are quite harmful. Esp those that promised smooth and silky hair. Because what gives you this smooth and silky effects are just silicon.. silicon are bad for our scalp. it will clog up those…. “pore”.. i dono wat’s that HOLE ur hair grow from called!! hahaha.. So, it’s better to use organic ones..

Consultant also advise.. try to use warm water when we begin our shower. Warm water can helps to wash away the excess oil from our scalp and switch to cold water when we’re almost done. Cold water can close up the pores.. i think this is almost a similar theory like skincare..

After all the explaination and consultation, i’m brought to a pte dark room.

With OTO massage chair, TV and mommy waiting for mi..!! She has already picked her movie when i went in.. Horror show in such embiance .. gosh.. brave mommy! I’m so happy they have Twilight Breaking Dawn.. I haven get to see it since the day it screens!

As i get sitted, a hair therapist starts to give me a little information of she’s going to do..

“ok, now i’m going to apply this XXXX on your scalp.. you will feel abit cooling..”

“now i’m gona put this hair mask on your hair ends..”

and i’m just noding away as im too excite for my twilight to get started!

Can’t really recall what was done, but this 2.5hrs seems to pass very fast! essential oil upper back message.. head massage.. hair shampoo.. hair treatment.. hair mask.. blow dry.. and done! gosh! hahaha.. ALSO!! i get to finish watching my Breaking Dawn too! aaaaw!!!! >_<
