Minimize Your Pores!!

Hi Guys! If you had followed me on twitter, you will know that I had planned to do this post. What is this post about? *drumroll* PORES MINIMIZING of course!! I’ve been crazy over beauty products that claim pore minimizing or effectively remove blackheads! Below products are those that I had tried and guess what!? I think i found my love out of this 4 products! I’ll just show you what I’ve used (details post will be shown in provided link) and give you a summary of what I think/recommend towards the end! So now….. The most common product that everyone ever used (I bet) is Biore pore pack!

IMO, it does remove blackheads but probably only for the first time you’ll see blackhead being “pull” out.. Subsequently… (you know~) You’ll start wondering why your nose still looks the same (full of blackhead).. Well not long after I gave up on pore pack and decided to source for something else.. Then I was given Skinmiso Pore Minimiing Pack to try (from Bellabox)!! “WOW” was my immediate reaction! It’s painless! It’s soothing! It’s amazing! (Biore pore
pack tends to be a lil painful when we remove it too late – it’s too dry!) It’s a 3 step pore minimizing pack but not tough to do at all..! If you want to be pretty, that’s the price you should pay – time! I’m not going details about it in this post because you can read my review from HERE and HERE. The next pore minimizing pack that I found is from Caolion! Read lots of (positive) review about it and decided to make this “investment”!! Bought my Caolion from Qoo10 (Seller: Wishtrend)! This mask is slightly more time consuming than the previous.. Why? Because it’s a wash off mask and is preferably 2 step mask.. You can read the details of my review on this product HERE.. Now for my FAVOURITE pore pack!! SexyLook Blackhead Pore Cleanser Set!!!

This pore pack has a very sweet strawberry scent.. Not those disgusting sweet! It’s pretty pleasant to me!

It’s also a 3 step pore pack but less time consuming and less messy.. All you need to do is apply the sebum softener (step 1) massage for 2-3 minutes then rinse off. Do it when watching TV, 2-3 minutes will just *poof* and gone. Then apply the strawberry sebum purifying mask. It’s a peel of mask! I love peel off mask!! This is why i said less messy! All you need to do is peel and throw and you can proceed to step 3 – pore treatment essence! The simplest step! Just apply and you’re done!

For result, I think Sexylook gave me the most satisfying result!! Seeeee!! Black heads! White heads! My nose is clean like hell!

For ease of use, it’s gonna be the traditional pore pack! ….But seriously for consumers who wants to remove black head I believe a little more “inconvenience” won’t be that difficult!

Belif – Believe in Truth

Are you a Belifer? I am now!! hahaa.. Been wanting to try Belif for quite some time as i had rec’d their samples from those beauty boxes i subscribed.. Especially like the Hungarian Water Essence! I can really feel it giving my skin moisture and my skin doesn’t feels dry after using it during that period! So now, I’ve decided to give it a try!

These are the samples I’ve got during my purchase.. It’s not that they love me so much but.. more like i’m a kiasu* aunty who brought all my redemption leaflets, coupons & even referred a member! hahahaha!

*Kiasu is a Hokkien word that literally means ‘fear of losing’ (Vernacular Chinese: 怕输). Examples of kiasu behaviour includes accumulating too much food on one’s plate during a buffet lunch in case there is no more food later or joining a queue many days in advance just to ensure that one successfully gets hold of the limited free tickets to events, promotions and/or shows.

Mild and effective facial scrub

Mild and effective facial scrub is a soft but effective facial scrub which exfoliates with natural exfoliant lygodium japonicum and unblocks your pores with fibers extracted from French cotton plant. The facial scrub containing Napiers formula DTX frees you and your skin from stressful dead cells.

How to use? Dry your face after cleansing and squeeze a proper amount of the scrub on your palm. Spread the scrub over your face avoiding the eyes and mouth. Gently massage your face for 30 seconds. When dead cells come off, rinse the scrub with warm water.

My thoughts? No thoughts yet as I have not use this product.. 🙂

Creamy cleansing foam Moist

This cleansing foam for normal to combination and dry skin types, is made with natural cleansing and moisturizing properties and using foaming action to softly wash away impurities from your skin. Formulated with Soapwort rich in vitamin C and Wormwood to remove toxins, it produces clean skin without dryness after washing.

How to use? Take a penny-sized amount of the product in your palm, and lather it with water. Massage gently and thoroughly over face, and rinse with lukewarm water.

My thought? I like this! for my big face, i used less than a penny-size and it’s enuff to lather foam.. After wash i do not feel tightness on my face and my face feels clean too!i would definitly recommend this to ladies like me who have combination skin! (I have dry skin surface but oily T-zone)

Update on 26 May 2013:

To conclude my experience, dun waste time trying the scrub. The micro beads in the scrub is very minimum and doesn’t make me feel like it did its job.. 😦 There are definitely better scrub out there.. =X but the cleansing foam is definitely a good buy! Just a green bean size and u can cleanse your whole face!! Sweet!

Crystal cleansing foam Fresh

My thought? The promoter told me this is more for oily skin but combination skin ladies can use this too as it’s a deep cleansing foam! Yes, DEEP CLEANSE!

Hungarian water essence

This essence contains hydration secrets of the legendary Hungarian Water that enabled Hungarian Queen Elizabeth to maintain her beauty into old age. This product is applied cool like a spritz of water, and clings to the skin lightly without stickiness, prolonging suppleness and softness.

How to use? After applying toner, pump two to three times in your palm and apply gently over the face, moving along the skin surface.

My thought? Very moisturizing! i like this very much! It looks a little like toner, a stickier version of toner.. Does not have any sticky sensation and get absorbs very quickly.. Naise!

The true cream – aqua bomb

With Napiers aqua formula containing Lady’s Mantle, often called “a woman’s hydrating herb,” this refreshing gel cream supplies instant moisture to the skin while forming a protective layer that wraps the skin in comfort.

How to use? After using essence or emulsion, dispense a sufficient amount, gently apply, and spread.

My thought? feels that it’s quite similar to Hungarian water essence, just that it’s more to cream type than water type. It did give me a more moisturized skin but i still prefer Hungarian water essence!

(First Aid) Transforming peel off mask

This unique peel-off mask is formulated with Lemon balm and White willow bark to remove skin debris while tightening pore and providing skin elasticity. Upon contact with water, this creamy mask transforms itself into a thin layer of gel, making easier to take it off without skin irritation.

How to use? Apply a thin layer of mask to clean and dry face, avoiding eye and mouth area. Leave on 10~15 minutes until the mask becomes completely dry and rinse with water. Upon contact with water, this dried mask transforms itself into a thin layer of gel so that peeling-off process can be easier and less irritating.

My thought? No thoughts yet as I have not use this product.. 🙂

(First Aid) Anti-hangover soothing mask

A fresh, clear, gel soothing mask that calms and relieves sensitive and stressed skin. Formulated with Chamomile that has a powerful calming effect and Xylitol soothing capsules that prevent skin troubles.

(First Aid) Deep pore care mask

How to use? Use once or twice a week. After cleansing and toning skin, apply a thin layer and gently smooth over face avoiding the eye and mouth area. Leave on 10 minutes. Rinse with lukewarm, then cool water.

(First Aid) Overnight skin regneration mask

A sleeping mask with a natto-like texture that provides intensive nourishment and restores skin vitality overnight. With Napiers anti-aging formula, this mask regenerates dull and exhausted skin and improves its elasticity while helping restore firmness.

How to use? After cleansing, apply toner and essence. Before or after using cream, apply a thin layer and gently smooth over the entire face. Leave on overnight and rinse off in the morning.

My thoughts? erm.. it’s pretty sticky before u apply to you skin.. it’s like the cheese on the pizza when u are pulling it while it’s hot (but this mask is cool).. it’s may look beige in color but after you apply, it’s transparent. My skin feels quite soothing after applying it, idk why.. The next day when i wake up, i think the mask got fully absorbed into my skin~ Why i say that? because when i take my morning shower, my face doesn’t have those soapy feeling when i washed them! Good or bad?? LOL~

Peat miracle revital eye cream

Humic acid of peat extract in Peat miracle revital eye cream plumps up the eye area and its GABA element accelerates the composition of collagens, which helps to minimizes fine lines around your eyes and smoothes away wrinkles.

How to use? After applying essence or moisturizer, gently pat a small amount of the eye cream around and under the eye with the ring finger until absorbed.

My thoughts? I will never be able to share with you my thoughts on this as i gave this to my mom.. but i’ll see how’s her wrinkles (any missing!!?) and i’ll keep you guys posted!! hahaha!

And what have i decided to bring home?? Yes, these two products! Milky moisturizer Hydra balancing & Creamy cleansing foam Moist!

Have i not share with you the info for Milky moisturizer? Well, this moisturizer for normal to combination skin types (my type!!) is formulated with Sage extracts that help improve the skin’s effective balance between oil and moisture, and its natural capacity to hydrate to keep the skin moisturized and glowing with vitality.

How to use? After applying toner or essence, pump two to three times in your palm and apply evenly over the entire face, moving outwards from the center.

My thoughts? Great! no greasy or sticky feeling and so far so good!! 😀

For my mom, she bought home a Peat miracle revital cream. Similar to the eye cream but this is for the face!

Cell turnover means a cycle of your skin where young cells replace aged skin cells. As you get older, your turnover loses its rhythm and speeds up aging process. Peat miracle revital cream contains peat extract and improves your turnover rate by 9.28%, rejuvenating and hydrating your skin.

How to use? After using essence or lotion, apply an appropriate amount over the face and spread it until it is absorbed.

Very happy with my purchase and even happier with my caricature drawing!!!!

This time, its my pore minimizing pack from Wishtrend by Caolion!

i purchased all three at one go from qoo10.sg because it’s cheaper this way! It cost me S$48.90 in total, which includes the shipping fee of S$5.00!

I forgot to do a skin test before applying is on my face! >_< lucky my face din burnt and rot!! Pls do a skin test if you are unsure of your skin condition.

So now, Let’s have a look at the Steam Pore Pack first….

Step 1 – Opening your pores with steam

Warm, steaming effect extracts sebum in the pores and grain powder takes care of dead skin cells for smoother skin!

HOW TO USE:

Apply mask on cleansed face
Leave them to dry or for 15 minutes
Wash off!

This steam pack looks like some volcanic mask ya? It’s not those watery or creamy type of mask. It’s very… erm.. *lost of words* even if u put it upside down, i bet it wun drip a bit! Very good bonding! haha..

I can really feel the temperature rising up the moment i applied it on my face!! & that is when i realize… I FORGOT TO DO SKIN TEST!! T_T (pardon my freckles!)

The heat seems to keep rising up slowly non stop but actually is bearable! How you feel is probably the 15 mins of uneasiness because ur face feels so WARM! But when u washed off the mask, you feel totally cool! In on of the pic above, it shows that the temp goes up by about 1 degree but it feels more than that for mi! (probably i think too much! >_<)

Btw, before i washed off my mask, i tried touching my face and it feels warm! Like im having a fever! My perspiration might have blend in with the mask already! LOL

This mask is softer as compared to steam pack. Softer in the sense that it is creamier? more watery as compared to steam pack. Means easier to apply too!

My face temp falls when i applied this.. i feel so coolingggg~~~~!! and that it when i understand why it has to be kept in the FRIDGE!!! It’s a must man! The cold mask will aid to make u feel more comfy and cooling. Your face won’t feel cold like ice but it’s like menthol lingering around you.. NICE!!

UPDATE ON 5 MAY 2013:

This looks similar to the steam pack! But actually is not..! This does not have the heating factor!

After u apply, the color will slowly turn into white.. And………..

Ta-daaaa.. Bubble will start forming… It wun hurt! Actually I quite like it (seeing it turn into bubbles!!) hahah.. I apply this mask while showering, so it’s like I leave my face alone for 5 min and wash other area… When I wash off the mask, my face feels………… Nth too special. =X

After apply this bubble pack, I proceed to step 2. This time, this pack doesn’t feel as cooling as before. Prolly coz my face isn’t that warm to feel the coolness.. But I still think it’s a good experience! I’m willing to do anything to minimize my pores man!!!

Overall, i think it will be more cost effective to get it from Qoo10 – you can apply your cart discount too!!! double saving! double happiness!

December Trove – Shhh.. It’s Victoria’s Secrets!

Hello Hellooo~ It time again for Vanity Trove!! everytime i receive VT it means the month is ending sooon! time flies!! Now let seee what we have here~~

Philosoply.. in one of the previous trove, i had got Hope in a Jar and Purity samples.. and this month’s trove, i’ve got even moreee.. looking at it, im in fact more keen in using the Microdelivery Peel (which comes in a 2-steps sample pack).

Next in the queue, we have samples from belif..

from cleanser to toner to moisturizer to mask to blah blah blah.. its basically your routine regimes! I’m quite confident in Belief.. they have very good products! i had tried their Hydra Sebum Control Essence before and was very satisfied!

Alright, coming next are masksss! Masks from Sexy Look and Beauty Buffet!

One thing i like about Sexy Look mask is that they can really cover your whole face to chin area.. why? because they have ear hooks that can secure you mask in place and lets your neck get supple too!! V V face on the way!!!!

Call me a moutain tortoise.. but seriously i haven tried any of beauty buffet mask yet!! i believe my girl friend would have tried!! she’s a beauty freak! =P

OK this is what I’m pretty excited about!! CIRACLE’s Goodbye Blackheads!!!! this is a cotton mask which helps in the removal of sebum, blackheads, whiteheads, sebum and dirt, especially in the presence of blocked pores. Each Blackhead Off Cotton Mask is made with 100% cotton and is soaked in natural plant extracts such as Witch Hazel, Peppermint, Sage and Mistletoe, to help draw toxin out of the skin.

Directions

1. Open one packet and place a Blackhead Off Cotton Mask on your nose. Spread mask evenly with your fingers.

Next, DrGL.’s Collagen Essence! Heard many hooha about it but this is the first time i touched this brand!! So what does “GL” denotes? It’s Georgia Lee!

Alright, ready for next product?? Well, next product is actually a repeated one! got the same thing in previous Trove.. it’s either this product is VERY GOOD or it’s some left over.. hmm.. you decide!

Last month, i’ve got this same Ujene sample pack but.. have not started using yet. >_<

OK! last thing… something that caught me off guard! Waxing Strips!! who would expect to see this!? LOL! ok or at least i din expect to see this.. for a moment i thot i’m being spied!! WHY?? because i’ve been looking for deals to get my underarm waxing done and the next moment *POOF* VT put a pack of waxing strip in my trove! Ain’t that.. MAGICAL?! hahahaha!

But i hope this waxing strip is not too complicated to use!

I have not use the Adore i got from VT but i had used the one i got from the lady at Bugis. This is good. It prevents my side leaks & back flow. Now i can sleep 100% & worry 0% during girl’s day! It also feel less “humid” as compared to other brands.. erm.. girls! u know what i mean..

Catching Up w My Mask!

Tired Saturday…!! Seems like I haven been doing much thing and my Saturday is gone!!!! I’ve been up since 9am!!! But only get to eat my first meal at 3pm!!! Oh man.. Hungry girl!!

But it’s ok cuz I’m not gona bored u w that!! I’m pretty eager to share w u my new gaga!!! Hahaha!!

Few weeks back i bought some wash off mask pack from qoo10 and finally got a chance to use it.. or rather got feel to use it! =X hahaa~! too lazy to wash it off..

i bought 3 types (Aloe, Volcanic, Blueberry) to try it out and i think i’m quite satisfied w the first pack (Aloe) i used. One pack is good for 2 use. but i finished the whole pack in one use!! =X oops! i applied a thick opaque layer on my face to near neck. i even covered my brow too~

Looking at this pic i think my eye lash treatment mascara is quite good! i THINK my lashes are slightly longer and thicker~ >_< hahha!! i think my chin is getting slightly more into V V shape.. ok, maybe only that 0.01% V-er~ hahahaha!!!

Hahahaha!! Interested to know what i’ve been using? …. *drumroll*

It’s masking time again!!! bought some mask on qoo10.com.sg some time back and now.. here they are, resting in my fridge after their long flight!! 😀

From whitening to tightening to brightening to soothing.. wahhh… can’t wait to mask it sooon! would it be nice if we can mask everyday!??

Now these are something similar to Biore Pore Pack , just that it comes w a pore tightening cream,.

Yahoooo!! Got my July Bellabox just bef the week ends..! Happy!! Happy!!!
So what do we have here for July??

Seems like a pretty heavy box right?? Totally excited for this! Now let start looking into the simple one first..! ^_^

Twistband!! If u haven heard of twistband then u are (slightly) outdated thn me!!! I got to know Twistband from Bellabox in Q2 this year!! It’s actually a hair band that u can use to tie ur hair without leaving tie mark! And they comes in colorful colours….!

Just a bit sad that my twistband had a little defect. But the thot of contacting Bellabox for an exchange made mi… (think twice) accept how it is! To email them is a headache! I wonder all this beauty boxes company.. Are they really sooo busy? Din they put into consideration for time like this? Ok, or at least not for exchange but more of.. customer service/enquiries? Every time when they are gg to have something big, reply seems to slow down even more (already so slow then become even slower..)

Had tried calling them to enquire some stuff but was asked to email them instead. But their reply always take sooo… sigh~

Review on 15 July evening:

Wow.. This is not wat I expect yet not too different from what I expect too..

I expect something like Bioré pore pack? But looking at it’s packing I had expected it not to be like wat i expected! (gossh, am i confusing u??)

As per its direction, I apply it on my nose for 10 mins. Initially, I feel a bit pinchy pain, quite annoying but bearable. Abt few sec ltr the pain is gone.

When I peel out the sheet, I dun see any whitehead/blackhead residue on my nose.. I had also used the Q-tip to exfoliate but… Nothing come out.. At that point I thought this was pretty useless..

But still I decided to continue w the step 2!! This pack’s essence more gelish as compared to step 1 (watery)..

I dono if I shd even post this pic cuz it looks the same as the previous one! But oh well…

Step 2 still has that pinchy pain feeling too but din last long.

So after I remove …. Mi first reaction was….. “WOW!!! No more large pores!!! Wah!!! Whr’s my blackheads!?!??” Hahahah!!!

Tho this doesn’t works like Bioré pore pack whr u can see ur blackheads being “pull” out.. But… My nose really is much cleaner now!!

If bearing w these pinchy pain can change a clean nose back, seriously… I DON’T MIND!! Hahaha!!

Now I’m really tempted to buy some home!!

Yes.. I know what u’re thinking!! It’s SKII again! My third set of SKII since my July Vanity Trove! It’s either SKII is having a promo or both VT and BB a good deal with them! But doesn’t really matter, 好东西不嫌多！

ok it din show very well in this pic but the cream is in a bit pale purple-ish beige color! wah sound so.. hahahaha! but u have to visualise abit to be able to see the purple.. putting aside the color.. the cream contain shimmers.. i guess that is why it can create the radient look.

in this pic, u see my hand?? bling bling..! on my finger tip is Ettusais BB cream, ignore that! hahaha! im just putting on my daily makeup before heading to work!

Overall, i feel nth too special about it. but probably i just haven use long enuff..

A housebrand sexy red lipstick!! Yayaya!!! I’m lying! Hahaha!

This is a pen not lipstick.. Not of very good quality but definitely a cute gift!!
