How long has it been since I last blogged about ANY beauty products? LOOONG time it is!

Well, today I’m back with a GOOD DEAL!!

Nivea’s Make Up Clear! If I’m not wrong, this should be their latest skincare range! However it’s not the “latest” that attract me!! It’s 13rushes cleansing brush that lure me into buying it!!!

Seriously, it doesn’t matter if you’re a light or heavy make-up person! As long as u do make-up (even if you don’t), I think this is a great kit to start your cleansing regime! For just S$18.90, Nivea has got you covered with Micellar Water + 3 in 1 Mud Cleanser !!

Best of all, every cleansing duo set comes with a FREE 13rushes Cleansing Brush (worth S$21)!! You think I’m kidding??

See! A similar brush is retailing at US$15.22 (approximately S$21.01) on 13rushes website!! Probably the best cleansing deal in town!!!

Why buy when you can get it for free!!!?? Soft brush, very densely packed fine bristle! Doesn’t feel prickly at all!! Just touching it feel so shiok!! Totally worth it!!

Besides the brush, the next thing that got me into buying this set is the micellar water makeup remover!

I’m sure girls out there are totally good friends with micellar water!! It’s quick! It’s clean! It’s great for sensitive skin! &I’m sure you know which are the few brands that already have micellar water under their umbrella.. ie: Bioderma (a more atas brand as compared) and Biore (probably launched less than a year ago?)..

So is this comparable? Let’s ask our model~

Press and hold for about 3-5 seconds, and…. ta-daaaa…!!

I’m impressed! Quite clean with just one wipe!

After a few more wipes, totally good to jump into bed!!! Yes, one cotton pad for my hand’s makeup!

But for this cleansing tissue, it did not leave behind any prickly feeling on my skin. In fact I do feel that my skin are more moisturized as compare to other cleansing sheets that I had used before.. That’s a plus point!!

However, after cleaning half my face, the sheet doesn’t look very dirty. That makes me ponder.. Is my face really clean?? That’s a minus point~ 😦 Because I will still need to do a double cleanse after that, then it serve no purpose..

If you’re a cleansing sheet person, do give it try! It’s a pretty moisturizing cleansing sheet..

My Loots from Preloot!!

After making my first purchase, I thought this was a pretty good concept for user to explore more local brands. Good local brands! Through Preloot, I actually get to know more local brands! I actually seen some brands before but wasn’t aware that they’re local brands – ie: Gummi! I thought they were from US or Europe.. (my gosh! How sua-ku!) & Bodhi too!!

Correct! this is my second pack of body scrubs from Basic Theory! I prefer this than the coffee one redeem earlier! the mild soothing lavender scent helps ease my mood and makes me feels relax after a day of hard work!!

OH!! This is GOOD! I never thought local brand can be this good – especially the night cream!! But to be exact, this is not really a local brand though. Flower2Grass2 originated from Hong Kong and is new in Singapore! Best part, it’s paraben-, colorant- and sulphate-free!! Pssst~ Only available on Preloot – that’s exclusive!

The night cream good for combination skin user (yes! finally something made for me!!)! Rose Geranium oil calms oily or irritated skin, such as eczema, acne & rashes. Skin appears radiant as a result. L’egere Perfect Cleansing Oil Stick

Going home is not lonely anymore! I’m so happy that my mama has been transfer to a new branch – we’re close (at work) again!

So last week while waiting for mama to end work, I went to do some shopping at BHG.. I have no plan to buy anything, purely window shopping, until I saw this interesting stick!

NO!! This is not a disco stick! This is a Cleansing Oil Stick!

What’s NEW? This is new – OIL in a stick! I had some makeup (from all the sampling) on the back of my hand hence I took the sample stick and try it.. I was pretty amazing! It wiped out all the make up on my hand!! CLEAN!

Who can resist such cute convenient makeup remover!!? It’s so easy to bring around and need not worry about leaking/spilling in your makeup pouch or bag! NO MESS!

Was pretty surprise to see this little cap when I open up the stick.. They really protect it well ya!?

So now I’m home, let me show you the power of this cleansing stick!

What’s on my hand: Waterproof mascara, gel eyeliner, glittery eye shadow, bb cream and lipstick!

(music) As the stick goes round and round, round and round, round and round..

All the makeup sort of dissolve and blends together.. Was pretty gross but I think it works quite well.. Even removed my gel eyeliner without a trace! Although some glitter can still be seen but, I think it did better than what I expected!!

The only extra step that we need to do here is, clean the stick after every use..

Since it work so well on my hand why not try it on my face since it’s time for me to remove my makeup too!

Hmm.. It turn out not as comfortable as when I used it on my hand.. Area like nose, eye need extra care.. It’s easy on forehead, cheek and chin and these area were pretty clean..

For my eyes, they didn’t quite turn out clean the first time.. Eyeliners are still visible, almost 75% of my mascara did not goes off.. maybe if the stick comes in a two-way concept will be better? One side pointy and the other side as it is, then I can use the pointy side for more precise cleaning.. Or maybe I should just just a eye-makeup remover first before attempting to use this??

Well I guess I did not try hard enough.. I’m not giving up and tried it again the next day but without mascara this time.. Well….

It turns out much better than the day before. Glad to see that 80% of my eyeliner was removed.. When I’m done, I used a piece of tissue to wipe away the residue. It doesn’t really feel clean honestly..I don’t see much bb cream stain on my tissue though..

Overall, I would rate this only 6 out of 10.. More for the convenience than the effectiveness. Not that it’s not effective but areas like nose & eyes are pretty challenging to get the makeup removed.. It doesn’t matter if you do light or heavy makeup because you will still need to remove makeup around this area right?!

Plus I don’t like the oily dirty feeling it leaves on my face while removing my make up.. I would rather is a liquid cleansing oil..

My stash of… Makeup Remover!

Yes.. It’s time again to share some loveee with you! I realize I’ve been stocking up lots of makeup remover lately!!! Not because they’re good/bad but most of the time it’s because of SALE!

So which of those I’ve been using are worth mentioning?? Read on to find out…

If you’re a loyal reader, I’m sure you’re aware that I had recently received a Biore Micellar Cleansing Water for review (you can read from HERE).. So amazed with the result, I decided to pull out ALL my “Micellar” remover to do a comparison! Spoiler: I’m really mind blown with the result of Biore Micellar Cleansing Water!!

So before I start removing my makeup, I must have some makeup on right?? Thanks to my left hand, she decided to sacrifices herself for this test!!

*applause*

In this makeup, I’ve used La-Roche Posay BB cream, Benefit mascara, K-Palette liquidliner, NYX blush stick Shiseido lip color and Misline compact powder.. Eyeliner is 100% waterproof/smudgeproof!!

This is not micellar related but this is my so-call current makeup remover – Biore Aqua Jelly Makeup Remover… Why is it “so-call”? Because this is the makeup remover which I will constantly buy when it runs low. IMO, it’s good as it can remove waterproof mascara without much effort and I chop chop remove my makeup quickly while in shower..

See it’s not “water” form but more like gel…

Side note: There no need to use cotton pad when using this remover. Now this is just for show and to keep the consistency of the test as close as possible..

Usually, I will just pump 2 times on my hand and start massage gently onto my skin to remove makeup.

I placed the cotton pad on half of the “face” for about 30 sec (or so, didn’t really count the time)..

Can you guess the result??…..

jiang-jiang~ not bad right!? Just one wipe and 80% (of half the face) makeup gone…

2-3 more wipe and I’m clean!!! Like I said, proper usage of this remover is to apply directly onto skin and gently massage to remove makeup. That way, it can be result will be more effective.

How many star will I rate this? 4 stars!!

Will I buy it again? Yes! It very convenient to use and, again, it’s effective!! Most importantly, it’s pretty friendly to my pocket.. I think it’s about S$25+/- for 230ml (let me go check out the price and update you again!!!)

Next in the list….

Inseta H2O Tonic Lotion – Makeup Removing Lotion! This is a delicate cleansing lotion for eyes, lips and face. Best of all, No rinse required!! Oh and oh and!! It’s suitable for sensitive skin too

There isn’t much information found online but what I can share with you is that, this is a product of Italy (Made in Italy) and so far, I haven’t seen it in Singapore. Then where did I bought it? From Hong Kong, a retail shop call Colourmix (feels like SaSa/Beauty Language)!! 坐过 Cathay Airline的卸妆水哦~

Actually I didn’t planned/expect to buy this but the staff came to me while I was looking at Bioderma makeup remover. She started to promoting Inseta saying that the price is just a fraction of what I’m holding and quality is comparable too! Well, looking the price, I think I have nothing to lose too (I’m already in HK, there no need to save what I’ve already prepared to spending!)

So with appropriate amount of it, I placed it on the other half of my “face”..

Wow… this is pretty clean!!

With the 2nd swipe, waterproof makeup is gone!

Indeed it’s comparable with Bioderma but sadly i can’t find it in Singapore.. If your ever go to Hong Kong and interested to try it, drop by Colourmix and grab yours at HKD98 (500ml; about S$16+/-)..!

How many star will I rate this? 4 stars too!!

Will I buy it again? I really don’t know! I like it that it’s suitable for sensitive skin, the convenience of “no-rinse” and doesn’t make my skin feels dry! Even if I want to buy, I think I will need to save some air fare first.. =X

Makeup all being lifted up!! I’m amazed! I mean.. When I try it on my face previously, I thought it was pretty “wow” already because I didn’t even hold for 30 sec and makeup were removed.. BUT NOW YOU SEEE!! My makeup literally being lifted up and goneeeee!!!

2 wipe is almost clean!!

How many star will I rate this? 5 stars of course!! It’s very rare a makeup remover can excite me sooo much!!

Will I buy it again? Definitely a YES! In fact I might just replace the Aqua Jelly to this as my regular remover!! Price? S$18.90 for 300ml (if I do a lil math, for 500ml it will cost about S$31.50) Hmm double the price of Inseta but definitely cheaper than Bioderma.. Well, at least they had made it look affordable!

“Wah, only $18.90! That’s less than $20!” mentality.. LOL..!

Finally at the last (but not least) product… Biodema Sensibio H2O Micelle Solution!

This is my most expensive makeup remover that I have ever purchased. It was about S$40+ when this 500ml first launch in Singapore! Madness! If you really like this yet have a tight budget, go find out who’s going Hong Kong and ask them to help you get a few back! It’s much cheaper buying from Hong Kong (I’ll share the price with you at the end of the post..)!

Indeed you get what you pay for! Despite the high price, it can effectively remove my makeup without much effort and (importantly) doesn’t cost and dryness nor prickly sensation on my skin… Woohoo! However, if you have sharp eyes I’m sure u can see that the mascara (or eyeliner, idk) isn’t really cleaned up on my hand. There’s still a lil dot on my hand but again just one more wipe and I’m all cleaned and good!! (oh yeahhh)

How many star will I rate this? 4.5 stars! 0.5 was deducted for the cost!! >_<

Will I buy it again? YES but maybe the 100ml for travelling use..! As promise, here’s the price for the different size..

How sad to see my once sooo loved Aqua Jelly become last in the list!! :X BTW, I wanna emphasize I did NOT draw the makeup on the cotton pad for Biore Micellar Cleansing Water ok pls~!! In case anyone thought it was being draw on.. -___-

Update on 1 Jun 2015: Nearly forgot to update this post with my makeup remover update!! Probably few months back, I bought Legere’s cleansing oil stick! Like what the name suggest, it’s a oil stick to remove makeup!

I thought it was pretty interesting and had effectively remove my makeup from the back of my hand (from all those sampling) then!

Well, bringing it home and doing it on my face is a different story.. I don’t really like the process of using this to remove my makeup.. Too many “corners” can’t be clean thoroughly.. 😦 You can check out my post here for more details..

Bioré Micellar Cleansing Water

I seldom have confident using cleansing water to remove makeup. Why? Because most of them cause irritation to my eyes when get in contact.. 😦 I’m a lazy person and I often look for makeup remover that is ALL IN ONE! Must be able to remove not only bb cream/foundation but also (waterproof) eye makeup! Another thing which isn’t very important but good to have is to be rinse-free for my SUPER lazy days – maybe I should say, ultra tired days!

I’ve been using Bioré makeup remover since N years ago! The first Bioré remover I tried was the Cleansing Oil (purple lil pump bottle) then later they came up with this Hydra-Clear makeup remover which made mi fall in love with it immediately! Until recent years, they launch the new Aqua Jelly Makeup Remover – Man! That’s an awesome product! Since then, I stick to it like a loyal fan (of course occasionally when I get bored, I will try other brands too)..!

Ok, after a day at work, here’s my half melted makeup (pardon the messy me!!)! Let try and see how well it can remove my makeup!!

(Eye: Solone / Blush: Canmake / Lip: VDL / Foundation: SKII)

Take a piece of cotton pad and push the pump 2 (or 3) times.. Basically you just have to wipe wipe wipe~

For eye makeup remover, press over eye and hold for 5 seconds and gently wipe it off..

See.. it’s that easy!

I used about one cotton pad for half of my big face & to show you the soaked cotton pad really “absorbed” all my makeup, I took a clean one and place it side by side! Seee.. I know.. *gross* LOL!

In total, I used 3 cotton pad to removed my makeup – actually 4 cotton pad to be exact but the last cotton pad was rather clean so.. My face is cleaned already!

What I think?? Awesome!! No oily/sticky feeling and no skin irritation/outbreak on my face! I feel safe to even pat on my toner/moisturize and jump onto my bed!! Tell me what’s better than both cost & result effective!!

Merry Christmas everyone!!!

Today I’m gonna share with you my December Little Black Beauty Box – StyleXSanta Box!! But before that, pls note that LBBB subscription has been amended.. It’s no longer at $19.90 (or was it $19.99?). The new price is S$21.90.

Initially I thought it was because of the One Year Anniversary and Christmas season that’s why the box got more expensive.. You know more expensive some how relates to more premium products or something special for that box? Although the box that I had subscribed to so far (since the price increase) hasn’t disappoint me but I got it all wrong. LOLX! This price increase is not due to festive seasons. It’s permanent.

So with the price increase am I gonna still subscribe to LBBB? YESSS, of course!! It’s juz a $2 increase and I have yet to open up a box with disappointment! The quality is still there. Ans: My left eye (which is the eye on the right that you’re looking at now). Kinda obvious~

Another thing.. this mascara doesn’t feel very clumpy and its easy to achieve the volumized look. Use a lash curler before applying mascara so that your lashes will stay curled for a longer time..

I wore this mascara since noon till midnight (MERRY CHRISTMAS!) and it shows no sign of smudging! No gothic look at all~ hahah! Waterproof? OF COURSE!! Removing is not hard at all tooooo….

S$29 (approximately) for a mascara like this? WHY NOT!!

Lip Gloss from Bobby Brown! YOU KNOW WHAT, I am allergic to BB’s product! T_T oh man!! I will get rashes if I apply anything on my skin. My lips will feel mild numbness when I apply lip color on my lips.. The more you love the more you can’t get to use it.. *sobs* (I’m not trying to scare you.. oops!)

This color seems a bit shimmerish neutral/natural brown color. I thought it will make my lips look dark.. but…….

It really look very natural on my lips!

You can see my chapped lips looks fine after I applied the lip gloss! Totally good cover up! WAHAHAHAHA… too bad I’m allergic to BB! aww.. Don’t reminds me of that…
