I think I’m pretty obsessed with shampoo nowadays!!! Just recently I decided to throw in my money for a good scalp care shampoo and here you see me with my NIOXIN SYSTEM 3 TRIAL PACK!

Nioxin is pretty popular among user with hair thinning problem! Why? Because it specialize in hair thinning problem and scalp issue..

I don’t have hair thinning problem YET but i have dandruff problem and oily scalp! My scalp becomes oily and itchy if I did not wash my hair for one day. JUST ONE DAY is all it takes… T_T So I’m glad I had grabbed this trial pack (a some full size for my family)

Oh, if you didn’t know, Nioxin have different “system” to cater to different problem. Mainly based on hair thinning condition and whether your hair is chemical treated? I have shared an image in my Instagram showing which system you should use based your your hair condition.. I shall share it with you shortly (or look at my blog’s side bar to go to my instagram)!

For me, I belong to the “Normal to thin looking hair” and “chemical treated” category so I should use System 3. This trial pack is good enough for 1 week for my hair length (around waist?)..

Don’t expect flora or baby shampoo scent for Nioxin! It’s a treatment shampoo hence scent is not it’s selling point. But don’t worry, it doesn’t smell very bad. Just maybe like … Head & Shoulder Methol?? (O_o)?

So with the shampoo in hand, let’s not waste it!! It’s shower time!! Erm…. not really shower but just washing my hair.. LOL!

Nioxin shampoo lather foam quickly & easily! Best thing is that you won’t need lotsa shampoo to wash this kinda long hair, just a little bit is enough (probably size of two 50c coins?)..

So after washing your hair, NORMALLY it won’t turn out this frizzy!! It’s just that I’m trying to shoot better picture so i keep tossing my hair to lather more foam and .. well~ BUT even with such frizziness, fred not!!

With Nioxin Scalp Revitaliser (I shall call it conditioner la~) your hair is gonna be smooth and scalp will be clean in no time..!

You not only can use on hair end, you can apply on your scalp tooo! I think the right way to use this conditioner is to apply on your scalp (& hair end too), gently massage and leave it for 2-3 mins.. You will feel this menthol sensation on your scalp shortly.. Woo~ when your scalp touches water again (to wash away residue), your scalp will be so freaking cooling! *thumbs up up up*

What?? Will it cause oily scalp since conditioner touches our scalp you asking?? Don’t worry about that because it did not happen..! Not only I feel REFRESH, I have smooth and clean scalp toooo!

LAST STEP!? Scalp treatment!

Towel-dry your hair and then, spray this over your scalp evenly and gently massage, YOU ARE DONE! This treatment is not oily at all!

Switch to new Essential!!

I don’t know about you but I’m one of those who keep changing shampoo because my hair seems to be easily immune to the shampoo effect! Almost after 1-2 bottles, I will need search for new brand again…

I have oily scalp (if I did not wash my hair for 1 day, you can see my hair is so damn oily/shiny! It’s just one day know!?), dandruff (Yes, not only oily, dandruff starts to appear too.), dry hair and split ends (One strand of hair can split into 3 man!)! Finding one shampoo that is cost effective and tackles all this problem seems challenging! It’s either you get one that fix your scalp/dandruff but doesn’t give your hair that extra shine/soft touch (even drier hair) or you get one that gives you soft smooth hair but end up making your scalp even oilier, or worst, itchy scalp.. 😦 This is the problem of COMBINATION HAIR!! Grrr… You can never solve the problem with one shampoo!! ……

OH WAIT!

SUPER EXCITED ME CAN’T WAIT TO TRY!!!! LOL!!

I’ve been washing my hair with Essential shampoo/conditioner everyday and I must say.. It smells AWESOME!! I think Japan brands always make their product smells soo nice!! Make people wana keep using them!!

My thought on the first few days: Although they smell awesome (the scent last ONE whole day on my hair!!) but the shampoo/conditioner did not perform as expected. 😦 I’m glad that my scalp is less oily now but hair ends are still as dry. Using the conditioner, it did not gives me that silky smoothness.. 😦 Disappointed, I went on to try the 30 seconds treatment..

WOOO… This is sooo much better!! My hair instantly comes alive! It’s smooth and like advertisement, my hair can fly sui-sui when the wind blows!! Ok, too exaggerating but this treatment really helps to fixed my hair breakage and give me the desired smoothness!! When I comb my hair, it’s totally tangle-free and as smooth as silk! You won’t feel those hair breakage while combing your hair! Just remember to only use it on hair ends!! You would’t want your hair root to be oily again…

Too bad I can only use this 2-3 times a week!! (T_T) But heng ah~ (fortunately) I still have their hair serum from previous review (read HERE) to save my bad hair day!!!! Awwww.. heartz-heartz!!!

Ya, the side without serum is how my hair looks like when I only use shampoo & conditioner.. Frizzy -__-

My thought after using it for 1 week plus: I can start to see improvement on my hair ends! Although using just the shampoo/conditioner did not give my hair that ultra smooth touch, I’m glad they’re still easy to comb and less frizzy now. However, I don’t know is it because my scalp is drier now, it tends to itch a bit at times.. hmm..

Scalp & Hair Treatment at iSalon!

TGIF!!! or should I say TGIBF?! It was a black Friday! Indeed black! I made a whoooole list of appointment so that I can fully utilize my half day leave but in the end (!) half the plan was dropped off… Went all the way Holiday Inn Atrium to collect giveaway prize and as I was leaving, it rain! Gave up the thought of walking to the bus stop (to take a bus to next destination – iSalon), I took a cab instead! Then I realize, I forgotten my dental card! Have to cancel my appointment since I can’t make that trip anymore.. After my hair treatment, I thought of going over to POMO to settle some school stuff but it was raining cats and dogs! My lil umbrella couldn’t withstand the gust of wind and gave way… I had to quickly go back to Plaza Singapura to get sheltered! In the end, I didn’t make it to POMO! Arggg…

I guess the only good thing that happen is that … I made a right choice to cancel my dental appointment (something good after a long day)! Because then I can 100% enjoy my hair treatment without thinking of how to rush for the next appointment! If you’ve guessed it (without much effort) today’s post is about my afternoon at iSalon for a Hair Treatment..

iSalon is the best place to be after a hard day (it’s not even end of the day!)! Always filled with laughter and happiness..! Without further ado.. Let me start today’s post!

So, what’s my treatment today? After telling Susan my (hair) problems, she then catered a scalp & hair treatment for me. Basically is like deep cleansing and giving your hair moisture. I guess it was lack of moisture that’s why I keep having hair breakage.. I almost thought I’ll go bald before my hair turn white. 😥

Did I not mentioned in my previous post – iSalon are using mainly Shiseido products! So you’re gonna see lotsa Shiseido in this post.

The interesting thing about the scalp treatment is that we get to choose the kinda sensation we want! Warm or cool! I chose the “cool” sebum clear gel for my scalp treatment!

The difference between warm and cool gel is the particles in it.

See? For the “warm” gel, the micro beads are red!

& the “cool” gel, the micro beads are blue!

This gel is applied directly onto me scalp and was massaged in for better absorption. Indeed, it’s very cooling and started made me feel a little cold.. Hahaha..

After applying the gel onto my scalp, Susan starts to gave me a good massage on my scalp to let the dirt and dandruff come out.. Next few pics are gonna be a little “dirty”..

These are my flaky dandruff from my sensitive scalp.. After the massage, it was then leave on for about 10 mins before we rinse it off and proceed to the next step, deeep cleansing!

After all the cleansing and rinsing… I can feel my scalp cleaner and lighter! I like this clean scalp feeling! Like my scalp is less stressful now! Girls, you do facial mask to relax & rejuvenate your skin right? This scalp treatment I just did is almost the same, it rejuvenate my scalp! Feeling fresh and clean!

Back at my seat I was being introduced to this new machine that uses nano technology to make my hair treatment more effective and more worthwhile!!

Instead of just using a regular steamer/heater to make my hair absorb the treatment essence, this machine can open up my (gosh I don’t know how do you call that) “hair pores” (??) and let the essence get absorbs and lock it up! Ok, this is to technical for me to understand.. In layman’s term, using this machine can let my hair absorb 100% of the essence no matter the hair quality is good or bad! When using a regular steamer, how much essence the hair can absorb depends greatly on the hair quality. That’s the difference!

Another thing I like about this machine is that.. you know you are not gona be left alone! Hahahaha! I don’t really like being left alone to wait sometimes. I feel that I’ll be forgotten! (Especially when you’re at a beauty salon doing facial, mask time! The 20 min always seems like an hour!!) LOL…

What was done here was like what I said earlier, using this nano machine to open up your hair pores! It’s more or less like a steamer.. I thought it will be pretty hot for the hairdresser to keep his/her hand near the steam but actually it’s quite ok (I tried!).. It ain’t that boiling hot, just warm..

Once pores are open, Kylie (Susan went away to attend to another customer) applied the scalp treatment onto my scalp (that’s step 3 already! iSalon’s hair treatment are mostly 5 steps process..)

When it’s done, we went on to do the hair treatment!

This is the bottle for hair treatment! It is said to be able to gives your hair intensive moisture!!! This product will only be applied to you hair and will not touch the scalp.

We are not done yet!! After everything was applied onto my scalp & hair, the nano machine is back in action again!!

Are you able to see the steam better now??

After 15 min of me-time, we went to rinse off again.. This time round we spend more time at the washing area! Why?

Because I’m doing my hair mask (5 min) & another round of moisture treatment (5 min) for my hair to give it an airy bouncy feel!

It was a pretty long session here, give yourself at least 2.5 hours for this treatment (Scalp & Hair) and you’re leave iSalon with a clean suppled hair!

I love how my hair feels after the treatment…! Light, clean, supple!

And knowing that I still have program, Susan was kind enough to plait up my fringe for a simple yet different look!

UPDATE ON 11 DEC 2013: Next day when I’m washing my hair, I can feel my hair texture was really different & had improved! When I finger-combed my hair (with water running through) before the treatment, all I can feel is tangled hair!! Now.. I think my comb will just slide off my hair! It has been more than 10 days after my treatment, my hair still feels good!! Now then I know hair treatment really does makes a difference to one’s hair! Going again? OF COURSE!!

I think it will be helpful if they had paste some directional signs for idiot like me.. (Maybe the management didn’t allow?) I dono about you but I was really freak out for about 2 mins before I try the door which I first thot is a carpark! And it turns out to be….. really a carpark… cum offices! Seriously the management floor plan at the lift was not helpful at all (for people who has not been there)!! T_T

I reached kinda early, like (erm) 11:15am?? JPL staffs are all still packing and moving stuffs.. There is this lady whom i didn’t get her name, gave us (early birds) a friendly smile and thank us for coming down (so early) – lol!

About 11.30am, she walked to us with a bottle of juice and this time, she tell us that the sale will start in another 10-15 mins time!!! Yeah for the prompt update!!!! Yeah again for the juice – it’s not some alibaba juice ok!!

It’s F&N Fruit Tree Fresh!! Call me cheapo! But this buys my patience!! My happy meter is full again!

I tried this mask quite some times back and i like it and here i am grabbing more mask!! The rose scent is very soothing and the mask is really “well-marinated” in its essences! After placing the mask on my face, the essence will secretly roll down my chin to my neck minutes later – i had to pat the essence on my neck so that they get absorbed and not wasted while I’m masking! About 15-20 mins later, remove mask and gently message your face (& neck) in circular motion to get the essence penetrate through your skin! I pat them at time so that they can get in faster! =X (gently pat, not slap!)

Belif Hungarian Water Essence!! I’m using Belif products now and this essence sale came at the right time!! (I was still planning to grab them at belif store if I happen to pass by one! And now…. Mwahahahaa!! Call me lucky!!!!

K-Palette Real lasting Eyeliner and 1 Day Lash Perm Long Curl Mascara!!

Eyeliner first! This is a waterproof liquid liner that has won several awards!!

How can u not be tempted to get one?? Discount is not a lot for this.. $16 for 1 eyeliner (UP: $19.90)?

As my shopping bag gets heavier, my mind starts to get lighter…! I can’t think anymore!!! So just grab!!!

Next is this wonderful mascara! At this sale event, you can get it at $21 (UP: $25.90 I think) Yes, not very much good deal but still.. (like i said) at that moment I already lost my mind!! Everything is “sale! grab! sale! grab!” ROFL!

fresh and clean look ya?

After almost 8hrs (it’s 2pm++ now), totally no sign of smudge nor “gothic” look! Still clinging to my lashes nicely!

Btw, before i applied my mascara, i used my eyelash curler to curl my lashes a little and until now my lashes are still curled! What does this shows? The mascara is good or the eyelash curler is better? ~~I’ll snap some pic when i get home (5 hours later!)~~

8pm: Now that I’m home, my mascara is still smudge proof! No black tears no black shadow! You see!!

(I’m super loving this pic!!! See my eye!! I have dbl eye lid!!!! No glue no sticker ok!! Hahaha! This is call tired-eyelid! When my eye lid gets tired, it SAG and with a little push it will become a few-seconds-dbl-eye lid!)

This is really smear proof smudge proof waterproof!! And I think… I’M LOVING IT!!

There’s a newer version of this mascara which is “volume curl mascara”. Both have very good review if you do a simple google search.

Update on 8th Jul: I have difficuly falling aslp!! I feel so uncomfy having something around my eye… i flip and turn until 3am, i decided to wake up and re-position my eye mask, this time, a little distance from my eye.. and… yes, i fell aslp. I guess i placed it too near my eye (lash line).. I’m not sure if my eye bags are gone… but i know i gained a sleep line. the patch caused a sleep line on my face (sign of aging #101: sleep line takes a long time to recover!!)

Will i continue to use this mask? OF COURSE – at least until this pcs wear out!! According the the staff, this mask can be reused for 3 months – as long as u keep it clean/hygiene!! After that i may not continue..

SNEAK PREVIEW…..! Of course not!!

SEEEEE!! It’s my bellabox time again!! But this will be my last box already. i decided to cancel my subscription.. Not that i had some real bad experience to the extend i wanna quit this but i think for S$19.90 (to me it’s S$20 already..).. i would rather pay abit more for a VT which, IMO, has more exciting products for us to explore..

Loreal Shampoo.. Absolut Repair.. Had tried.. its good but not the best. =X

I don’t feel my hair condition really improve after using. I know i cant see immediate effect but.. as compare to Kracie Hair product i got from VT, i this this still lose out abit..

i never liked to use oil on my hair.. so i guess i will have to share this w one of my lucky friend.. hee!! =P

Face Mask..! Mask is something i will never have enough!! This EGF silk mask is nvr too late to rejuvenate my face..

Next, we have this hydrating creme from Benta Berry.. used ONCE.. what i think? nothing happen.. haha not like i want to see my face becoming very beautiful overnight but… really i din feel anything special.. =X

Like finally i see a makeup product!! YEAH.. A lipstick from Savoir Faire..

But the color is.. not my type.. wasted.. a bit metallic bronze..
