I was given a chance to enjoy 4 sessions of Skin Shape Club’s Skin Shaper Facial last month and it turn out better than I expected! But before going into details of my facial, how many of you actually heard of Skin Shape Club?

I’m pretty excited now and can’t wait to see result! Lightened pigmentation, less wrinkles!! Woohooo! But first thing first.. I always get lost in Orchard Central! Hence I need to locate Skin Shape Club first!

I booked my appointment on a weekday evening so that I can go relax after work!!

While waiting for my beauty consultant, I have no time to waste.. there are products on display where I can check it out!

FYI, these essence are actually their own brand/product..!

Audrey greeted me at the entrance and as there was another customer, I had to wait a while before she can attend to me (that’s why I have some waiting time to spare! LOL~).

Anyway, that’s beside the point. Shortly after, Audrey brought me to the consultation room to fill in a form and started my consultation!

Audrey briefed me through the treatment process and showed me some before & after pictures of customers with acnes/pigment/wrinkle problems.. I’m impressed with how they actually treat acne problem in such short time..!

Through our conversation (and Audrey’s observation), she knows that I don’t sleep early (not that late too actually) and she told me that this treatment can actually lightened my dark eye circle.. Though dark eye circle wasn’t my main concern but it’s one of the problem I have too.. So out of curiosity, I probed some questions but struck me most is….

Me: “How many treatment would it takes to see result (lightened dark eye circle)?”

Her: “Immediate”

Me: O_O REALLY?! *secretly feeling happy*

NOW I AM EVEN MORE EXCITED~!

Although the Club is small but I think they played well with the space. After the consultation, I was asked to stand on this machine u see in the above image.

It’s a body analyzer. It measure your weight, body fat, body age, this machine is a monster!! >_<!!

SEE!!.. I’m actually a old woman in a young body!! (T_T) (machine printed copy wasn’t given to me but glad we have this lil profile card!)

So here’s my treatment room. Pretty spacious. Understand from Audrey that this is usually the room they use for any body treatment (Yes, they do slimming too! But too bad, I’m not sponsored for that!)

I didn’t really change into anything special because there only a brown robe and feels funny to take off everything and wear a robe for facial. LOL!

Now that I’m lying on the bed (warmer bed!!) I’m pretty nervous!! What machine would they be using for the Light & Heat Energy treatment!!! *shivers*

Looks like a harmless thingy ya??

We started with a double cleanse then toner was applied on my face before we start using the LHE machine.

We started the treatment around my eye areas first (remember i have dark eye circle??) and despite several reminder about how BRIGHT it will be when the treatment (light pulse) starts, I still got a shock almost every time!! LOL!! It’s like somebody putting a touch light on your eyes and suddenly turn it on and off quickly twice – a super bright touch light that is… As for the heat part, it’s not scorching hot but you can still feel the pinch of heat on your face. Bearable for me.

I didn’t have to worry about anything during the treatment because The beautician here will be constantly telling me what we’re going through and prepare for next step.
Very soon, we’re at the last part of the LHE treatment whereby a consecutive 10 shots of light will be shot around your face. THIS IS BRIGHT TOO! When I open my eyes, all I can see is stars~ LOL..But just for the few seconds la..

AftER that will be serum and clay mask time – more like NAP TIME!! i napped for about 15-20 mins and the beautician is back to washed off my mask and applied skincare for me and she left me to get change.

Side note: I upgrade my session to SKIN SHAPER PLUS on my 2nd visit and I’m loving it!! The massage was so heavenly!!

NOW is best time to check out the result!! I quickly pull out the mirror and check out my skin! I’m speechless..

I can see that not only my dark eye circle has lightened, my freckles seems to have lightened too in just one session! My overall complexion has brighten quite a bit and I look more radiance!!

I GLOW~! I have to hashtag #NOFILTER!!!

After 3 days, my skin still feels smooth! Applying makeup was easy and my makeup stays longer!

Skin Shaper Facial is a gentle yet result-oriented treatment that incorporate FDA-approved LHE technology into its treatment procedure. It is suitable for most skin types and skin tone. Those with very dark skin will have to be consulted before proceeding with treatment so that they can adjust the treatment procedures and settings according to your skin conditions / tone for safe and best results.

Shakura Pigmentation Treatment

Good day to you!

Today I’m gona back date some post that was loooong overdue!

Have you heard of Shakura? Not Sakura ya! It’s S-H-A-K-U-R-A.. I have not heard about them until one day i bought a free deal at some deal site. Its been very challenging to find related reviews about it before i head for my first facial treatment. I believe Shakura originated from Malaysia?? why i say so? B’cuz most reviews i found are by bloggers living in Malaysia!

Those reviews i saw are mostly about their super hard selling tactic and can be quite aggressive. Made me a little 怕怕 (scared). But (un)fortunately my appt was 7pm (almost the last one) and by then i was too tired to smile and make conversation. They didn’t bother to hard sell and we ended the facial treatment swiftly! (They might think that i’m not interested at all)

Actually the facial treatment was quite ok! The mask has this light floral scent, the face (milk) massage was good, the extraction was done with hands (not extraction tools).

So i decided to bring my mom to try out this facial treatment. After 1.5hrs of treatment, she came out with a smile and think its quite good too.

We sat in the consultation room listening to our consultant “hard selling” to us. i can’t recall the initial price she quote but i know it was a very WOW price that i almost wanted to leave immediately.

Then later, as she goes further….. she offered us a couple package which includes 10 + 10 treatments and 2 + 2 eye/neck treatment.. & guess how much?!?

1st clue.. 4 digits!

2nd clue.. ask me and i’ll tell u!

Mom & I were pretty tempted to try so we decided to split the cost and make payment via installment!

Overall, i still think it was a pretty enjoyable treatment. Good thing is no hard selling occurs..

Mini Treats with Origins & Sampar

Ah haa.. how’s ya holiday!? This long weekend is a good one for mi! made arrangement to visit Phillip Wain, Origins & Sampar with my girlfriend.. Nice experience tho some things went “missing”.. =P

Our first stop!! Phillip Wain….

A very simple look before u enter Phillip Wain.. couldn’t take more pic when i head in cuz my mobile was in the locker.. our appointment was 11.30am & 12.00pm but somehow i don’t know why they only attend to us and changed our appointment to 12.00pm and 12.30pm. Are you thinking why we’re taking 2 time slots? cuz they have only 1 M6 Intergral LPG machine, so can only do it one at a time.. Oh did i mention? we were here because we have a VanityTrove treats.. After we changed into their robe, we head str8 to the M6 treatment room.. My experience..? PAIN! hahaaa the suction was.. arggghh pain.. but it indeed made mi lost 2cm+ on my abdominal and waist!! WOW~!! my friend’s experience… ? PAIN as well~!! hahahhaha!!! but she lost some cm too..!

After our session, we are free to use the facilities there.. steam room.. gym room.. little cafe.. The beauty consultant who provide all the info to me was quite hard selling which i don like.. had told her i’m rushing for appointment yet she wants me to make a decision “now” to sign up for membership.. It’s not expensive till i’ll drop my pants.. but i just don like hard selling.. (and the lady did not give me this tissue!! LOL!! got this from my friend instead..) How was mini facial conducted? Well, very openly.. but no worries, not much ppl will be bothered with what u’re doing.. hahaha!!

These are the products that were used on my face.. i particularly like the face scrub.. it really smoothen my skin LOTS~ i think this is a great product!! and i like the sunblock too.. it brighten ur complexion and has this sweet citrus scent..

But one thing keeps bothering me.. i thot by showing them the VT card, i’ll get my one day supply of Plantscription anti-aging duo?? but i did not get anything… hmm.. 😦

So i called up (while writing this blog) and Angie who did facial for me was kind enuff to keep one for me (it’s actually a eye cream if im not wrong..).

After our mini facial, we went looking for SAMPAR.. it’s a little counter that will often be overlooked i think.. Again.. i thot she will do a 1 minute quick fix treatment for me but turns out, her first reaction was only to open the cardboard and pass mi the mini glamour shots eye. Also, i brought all 3 samples that i got from Vanity Trove and wanted to check out more about it (like how to use, how to better enhance the effect, etc) but her explanation really makes me goes like.. “y do u need a promoter here? might as well put one poster size instruction manual by your counter, it works equally good..”

“for this XXX, u use after u wash ur face..” – After i wash my face, i use many other product know.. toner.. moisturizer.. eye cream.. serum.. blah blah blah.. so XXX is to replace which step or bef/aft which step.. sigh..

You think i can’t read? at least educate your user what your products are all about & what it acts as (ie: mask? serum? primer?) Kinda sad with the service attitude. Probably will not patronised again..
