How long has it been since I last blogged about ANY beauty products? LOOONG time it is!

Well, today I’m back with a GOOD DEAL!!

Nivea’s Make Up Clear! If I’m not wrong, this should be their latest skincare range! However it’s not the “latest” that attract me!! It’s 13rushes cleansing brush that lure me into buying it!!!

Press and hold for about 3-5 seconds, and…. ta-daaaa…!!

I’m impressed! Quite clean with just one wipe!

After a few more wipes, totally good to jump into bed!!! Yes, one cotton pad for my hand’s makeup!

Handmade Bamboo Salt Soap (Charcoal)

I almost thought it was those agar-agar (gelatin) mooncake when I was presented this a dozen of this at Idoori!! How naive!! Must have been my tired mind not functioning well!!

There are many kinds of bamboo salt soap as you can see from above picture..

The one question that pop in my mind when I was being introduced to Bamboo Salt was…

“What’s so great about these Bamboo Salt soap man?”

Bamboo salt is made of sea salt roasted in the bamboo pipes.

Enough of the theory, let me show you some visuals of the Charcoal Bamboo Salt that I was given to try~

Charcoal Bamboo Salt absorbs deep into pores to draw out dirt & oil. It frees up congested pores and help to eliminate acnes, blackheads & bumps!

INGREDIENTS:

9 times baked bamboo salt
Green tea
Coconut oil
Palm oil
Tocopherol
Vitamin E
Glycerin
Lavender oil

If you had realized, which I think you should have, the top part of the soap is darker colour as compare to the base. The darker colour part is where the salt all gathers. It’s rough textured on top and smooth at the base.

The rough part works like a scrub to me.. It gently exfoliate my skin leaving it smooth yet squeaky clean!

After a few use, you can see the dark grey part is almost gone… The textured feel slowly gets milder and milder.. BUT that doesn’t mean that all for the salt!

If you look again INTO the soap, you will see bits of lil black dot inside the soap! That’s salt too – yes I had licked it, it’s salty but not as salty as the dark grey top part..!

And you thought this is only a face soap? NO. It’s a multipurpose soap! It’s good for body wash & hand wash too..! Although you don’t see lotsa foam formed but this is more than enough to give you that squeaky clean feel already.

I had been using this soap on my face for about 2 weeks (by the time you read this post, perhaps 3-4 weeks already) I’m glad to see my acnes reduced and skin feels smoother!

Kinda regret for not being patient enough to use this soap bar everyday in the initial stage because it was only after a while I realized my stubborn whiteheads/acnes are recovering..! If I had start using them more diligently when I got them then I would have solve my skin problem earlier!

Covermark Moisture Veil Creamy Liquid Workshop

Who will come to Orchard at such early morning on Sunday!? ehem, Me… Although a lil tired but I’m more of excited to attend this workshop!! So what workshop made me so excited?

It’s Covermark’s NEW Launch – Moisture Veil Creamy Liquid Workshop, held at the heart of Orchard – Takashimaya!

Yeah!! I’m the earliest and I get to pick where I wanna sit!! Muahahahaha! But as you can see, this workshop is catered to a small group.. Hence sitting anywhere is fine la!

In the training room, they had displayed most of their product nicely and (oh man!) all of them look so class!

Above products are some face mask, toner, serum, moisturizer..

And here’s the cleansing oil, cleansing milk, cleanser..

Now for the star product!! Moisture Veil Creamy Liquid Foundation and loose powder!

At first glance, I’m attracted to the point whereby it brighten dull skin and cover spot!! Not only that, it prevent spots and freckles caused by UV rays tooo!! Can’t wait for the workshop to start!! ^__^

Currently, this foundation has 8 color tone! I can’t remember all 8 color code, but after reading this post if you’re tempted to get one too, head to their counter and talk to the promoter.. They will (and must) pick three color and apply onto your jawline.. The color that blend best will be the tone you should take.. I’m a MO20!

So back to the workshop.. While waiting for other attendee, I camwhore a bit w my “bare” face.. Only applied BB cream and eyeliner.

I know this is irrelevant but I super love their mirror, it can be table top mirror or hand held mirror just within a second.. And it’s so pretty – gold with a bling!! *heartz*

RIINNGGG~~ the class is starting!! Here’s our trainer for today, Ms. Wani (hope I got her name right!!)

So like the benefits I mention above, do you know why your skin can stay beautiful as time passes? It’s because of Covermark’s “coverage by light” technology!! Yes, pretty bare face~ Just BB cream and eyeliner!

And now we’re gonna remove them with Covermark Cleansing Milk!

Pump appropriate amount and spread onto 5 area like above pic and then massage in circular motion to remove your makeup!

Really is “OMG” letting you see this face!! My cute freckles are everywhere!!! LOL…

After applying toner, serum and moisturizer, it’s time for makeup base! Covermark have two kinda makeup base. Moisture Clear Base and Connecting Base.

Moisture Clear Base is good enough if you’re gonna be in air-con room (non-direct sunlight)! Because it will not make your face too oily later…

Here… This is how the promoter should do the matching for you when selecting the right foundation color tone.. I suppose you can tell which one it matching one for me right??

After selecting the tone, of course we have to apply them onto our face but before that can you guess the amount we should use to look beautiful? 20 cent coin size? TOO BIG, my gosh!!! How about 1 cent coin?? No.. All we need is a pea size!!

Just like that and we can apply onto our whole face to look like we have smooth silky skin!!

Skin immediately looks smoother and more even skin tone!! If you ask me, I think this foundation is good! Spreading it across my face is really easy and smooth! Even after half a day later, my face still looks good!! Especially now in my new office location, the walking journey from MRT station to my office is no joke! With regular BB cream/foundation, by the time I reach office, my makeup has already melted and turn cakey! they lasted less than 3 hours on my face! But this foundation lasted better than I expected! I looked into the mirror when I reach office, I still look awesome la!! hahaha!! I’m super happy I get to know this product!!

Back to the workshop!

After foundation, we applied the loose powder! The powder is very fine and you know what, it has moisturize effect too!! I’m like “Huh? Powder can moisturized my skin too?”

Yes it can! And not only it can provide moisturizing effect, it can reflect light tooo!

Seee.. I look so much better after the makeup right!!? Face like so smooth and so flawless!! Super like the effect man!!

And now with my HALF face eye makeup.. I think I look gorgeous already!! LOL…

I know what u’re thinking! The date says 2-5 Dec only but the last time they told me was “While Stock Last”.. but don’t care la, just drop by and visit.. who knows you might be so lucky and get to bring home this very cool blusher with purchase of the creamy liquid foundation!

The blusher is a limited edition one hence if you missed this chance, you won’t get it again! Why must have? Because it’s not just a blush, it can do highlight too.. and the casing very sui (pretty) oh~ I tried the blusher during the hands on workshop and I find it really good. The powder can be picked up easily bjt yet not too heavy when u smack them on your cheek.. it look really natural (you can tell crom the pic right?)

Overall, I find this workshop really beneficial to me. You know as time passes, we tends to forget about some makeup basic.. Hence attending workshop like this can refresh our memory.. Plus you get to know such awesome product! I pretty sure I will missed this creamy liquid foundation if I hadn’t attend tnus workshop!

Curél Sebum Care

I often wakes up to oily skin around my T-zone, esp nose area and I don’t like it. I was told by a beautician that oily skin is usually due to dry skin surface (dehydration). Because your skin sense that surface is dry hence sebaceous glands secrete an oily or waxy matter, called sebum, to lubricate and waterproof the skin. Of course this is just only one of the many reason to oily skin.

Diet and changes in hormone levels can lead to excess sebum secretion. Not only does this result in an unwanted oily shine on the face, excess sebum on skin that is not thoroughly removed can be damaging to the skin as well.

For ladies with oily skin (or even combination skin like me), do you know that excess sebum can aggravate skin sensitivity? A lot of people who have both conditions – skin sensitivity and oily skin tend to place more emphasis on choosing products that help
with their skin sensitivity, which I can’t agree more (people I know with both condition they do take more consideration with the “sensitive” skin issue). This is NOT enough. Excess sebum generated will deteriorate as skin gets more alkaline, turning into irritants to cause flare-ups within the skin layers.. Making sensitive skin more sensitive plus all those out-break~ T_T

“If excess sebum on the skin surface is not properly removed, over time, the sebum turns into harmful substance that irritates the skin surface and even the inner layers, worsening skin sensitivity,” Mr Koichi Ishida, Curél’s sensitive skincare expert and Global R&D Manager for Beauty Care explained.

What I think: My impression of using a cleansing foam is that it’s not clean enough and it will be “dissolve” once touches water and I have to use even more foam to clean my face. I really doubt it will wash away impurities! However, this cleansing foam proofs me wrong. It’s indeed very fine and doesn’t get dissolve right away when it touches water.. Indeed 2 full pump is all I need..! My face feels clean and supple after wash!! It did not cause dryness nor leaves behind any unclean feeling.

After cleansing, what should you do?? Toner of course!!

Sebum Care Lotion (150ml), $24.90

What I think: Pretty light weight! Not sticky, not oily, no skin irritation! See.. It’s like water and absorb pretty well ya!

After toner (lotion), time for moisturizer!!! Oh before that, you can apply your usual essence if you have any.. 🙂

Sebum Care Moisture Gel (120ml), $34.90

Control Oil & Acne with Zero-in Sebum Control technology to regulate sebum secretion at the source and reduce acne occurence. What I think: Watery gel? It’s light weight and not sticky!

OVERALL: After using it for about a week, my T-zone seems less oily at the end of the day and I don’t wake up to see my nose drown in sebum – less oily nose!! ^__^ most importantly, it did not cause any outbreaks during this period! However, I feel it’s a lil too mild for me..

HAPPY BIRTHDAY The Little Black Beauty Box! Happy ONE Year Anniversary! This month’s box is a little costly but it’s just about S$2 more (I think..) for a box full of goodies!

If you have realize, it came in a PINK RIBBON this time round! It was a black ribbon for my Shiseido Box! & as usual, it came with a personalized note.. Curious about what I’ve got this month?? Scroll down!

JAM PACKED OF GOODNESS!!! All I can say is “wah” “wow” “OH” when I opened up the box! This box is filled with quantity and quality!!

First thing that caught my attention was….. Laura Mercier!

Yeah! Got a Foundation Primer and Foundation Powder in my box!

If feels like since they can’t decide which to give so they throw in everything! Hahaha.. I like all the scent here but I’m not going into details about how each of them smells like! They all just smells great! I especially like the Salvatore Ferragamo (it reminds me of Hugo dark Blue??)!

This is the next thing that caught my attention! Sulwhasoo’s skin care pack!

However, what I can share with you is that a 250ml shampoo cost €12,75 (selling at S$28 locally, that’s pretty costly) and Korres is a brand from Greece, if I’m not wrong!

OK! I’m sure beauty freaks are gonna love this item! Eye shadow pencil from Nars! Aigle Noir is the color I’ve got here and I like it! Black base with gold shimmers. The first question that pops in my mind is…. “What is this man!??” Totally clueless like an ant!

From the word HYDRA Veil, I can more or less tells it’s something to do with Hydrating but veil..? hmm like a cover? a shade? Well.. I’m half correct.. This is a Hydrating Primer!

So here’s Goldwell Style Sign Full Rebel! Erm, I’m not really into this althought it promise good holding power! Why? Because it’s too sticky!! So much more heavier then whipped cream! As sticky as a glue! & it feels as if my hair is gona stick together (like tangle up).. Eeew… I prefer the curling cream iSalon recommended much much more!

This is the curling cream Susan recommend to me when i did my perm at iSalon! I ain’t that interested initially because I thought it works like a hair moose giving my hair a wet look throughout the day or a hair wax where the holding power is a nay.

However, to my surprise, it has amazing styling power! Why did I not use the word “holding” power? because it doesn’t HOLD your curl! You do not need to stand in front of the mirror and start grabbing/scrunching your hair! All you need to do is twirl your hair with this cream when it is almost dry then let your hair be.. You will get beautiful natural curls after that!! NO NEED MIRROR! I SOMPA (I swear)~! Best part about it is, it’s not expensive! S$19 for a bottle like this and each time all I use is just 2 pumps!

OK.. I’m so excited to see this, Laneige Snow BB Soothing Cushion! Sheet mask from b.liv by cellnique! I tried the Bright is Right mask and thought is good but not enough for me to come back again..

This little one can perfectly removes stubborn makeup, pore impurities and clogged sebum. Leaves the skin feeling moist and silky smooth, never sticky. Well that’s what it says.. Let me try and update you guys again SOON!

Belif Oil Control Moisturizer Fresh! I’m currently using Belif products, they are great to start but after some time i realize the effect is no longer that effective. Is it because my skin got used to it? I still remember how it hydrates my skin when I first try them out! So ladies, you can consider this if you need hydrating products!

Ok, next product is a nightmare! Read on to find out more..

Pro-active customer service is what keeps a customer coming back. *thumbs up* Thanks for the replacement VT, I had rec’d them..

VEET! Hair removal cream… erm, not very useful for me as i don’t really have much hair to remove and if I really need to, I usually go to the experts.. LOL! Pampered me~

I had this from one of my beauty box! It looks/sounds really good but i have not used it yet because the thot of having to wash away the mask makes me lazy~ hahaha

It’s pretty convenient to bring around! Just one thing about it.. The scent ain’t that lasting as compared to my other perfume.. and the roller isn’t very smooth. Not much perfume “rolled” out when I apply it.. 😦

Last but not least… A very powerful sunblock!! SPF70!! Hell madness! hahahah! Armada Sport 70 is by VMV Hypoallergenics!
