HAPPY BIRTHDAY The Little Black Beauty Box! Happy ONE Year Anniversary! This month’s box is a little costly but it’s just about S$2 more (I think..) for a box full of goodies!

If you have realize, it came in a PINK RIBBON this time round! It was a black ribbon for my Shiseido Box! & as usual, it came with a personalized note.. Curious about what I’ve got this month?? Scroll down!

JAM PACKED OF GOODNESS!!! All I can say is “wah” “wow” “OH” when I opened up the box! This box is filled with quantity and quality!!

First thing that caught my attention was….. Laura Mercier!

Yeah! Got a Foundation Primer and Foundation Powder in my box!

The foundation primer is a lightweight, creamy gel meant to be used prior to foundation, creating an invisible layer that acts as a buffer to outside elements. Leaves makeup looking fresh & colour-true the entire day.

The smooth finish foundation powder is a second skin comfort meets color-true wear, wet or dry. This silky-smooth innovation offers a natural veil that imparts a color true finish. It glides on effortlessly, camouflages, hydrates and visibly reduces lines.

I haven’t started using any of these yet but based on my satisfactory after using their tinted moisturizer, I’m pretty confident this two will works as promised!

Next up is tons of fragrance! 香香公主！

If feels like since they can’t decide which to give so they throw in everything! Hahaha.. I like all the scent here but I’m not going into details about how each of them smells like! They all just smells great! I especially like the Salvatore Ferragamo (it reminds me of Hugo dark Blue??)!

This is the next thing that caught my attention! Sulwhasoo’s skin care pack!

Have you heard of Sulwhasoo? Sulwhasoo is a Korean herbal medicinal brand that embodies the wisdom and aesthetics of Sangseng. It’s pretty new in Singapore but I think it’s pretty popular in Korea!! (Psst! Don’t say I no share.. Sulwhasoo is under Amore Pacific and some other popluar brands under Amore Pacifics are…Etude House! Innisfree!! Mamonde, Espoire, IOPE and Laneige!! Don’t believe me? These are the sample sachets I’ve received in my box! They are from the mainly from Essential Collection.

Cleansing Oil – A cleansing oil formulated with traditional Korean herbs to gently remove makeup and impurities for a refreshing finish.

Coix Lacryma-Jobi (Job’s Tears) Seed and Tangerine peel Extracts help to effectively remove impurities, while apricot kernel oil remove dead skin cells for clearer and healthier skin foundation. How to use? Pump twice onto dry hands and massage by circling around your forehead → nose → cheeks to cleanse. When the makeup residues and impurities are melted, rinse with lukewarm water without wiping off with tissues.

Cleansing foam – A cleansing foam formulated with traditional Korean herbs to gently remove impurities with rich and smooth lather to leave your skin supple after cleansing.

Duckweed and chestnut shell extracts help to supply moisture to your skin while cleansing and leave your skin supple without tightness after cleansing. Rich and smooth lather cleanses impurities to leave your skin smooth and clean.

How to use? Pump twice onto your palm every morning and evening and work up into a rich lather with water. Gently massage your face and rinse with lukewarm water. In the evening, use after cleansing oil.

First Care Activating Serum – Formulated with Korean Medicinal Herbs, this essential regimen boosting serum assures optimal skin care results, promoting balance and replenishing essential moisture and nutrients.

Next, Korres Shampoo? This is quite alien to me! Aloe & Dittany shampoo for normal hair type, obviously from the bottle! I don’t need to tell u how to use a shampoo uh? However, what I can share with you is that a 250ml shampoo cost €12,75 (selling at S$28 locally, that’s pretty costly) and Korres is a brand from Greece, if I’m not wrong!

Ah HA! I’m sure you’re not alien with this!!! Macadamia is so so well known for this healing oil treatment! All beauty boxes are so recommending this to their subscribers! I got it for the third time already! What can this Healing Oil Treatment do?? LOTS!!

I’m so amazed by the “reduced drying time by an amazing 40-50%” so I went to read on more and found this…

OK! I’m sure beauty freaks are gonna love this item! Eye shadow pencil from Nars! Aigle Noir is the color I’ve got here and I like it! Black base with gold shimmers. In case you didn’t know, NARS is a Shiseido-owned cosmetics and skin care company founded by François Nars, make-up artist and photographer.

So, what’s so good about this Soft Touch Shadow Pencil? Well, it provide easy, portable, long-wearing application. Who needs to bring an eye shadow brush now? =P

The first question that pops in my mind is…. “What is this man!??” Totally clueless like an ant!

From the word HYDRA Veil, I can more or less tells it’s something to do with Hydrating but veil..? hmm like a cover? a shade? Well.. I’m half correct.. This is a Hydrating Primer!

Happy 2nd Birthday Bellabox!! Glad that I had subscribed to this month box because other then the items I don’t like, I love them ALL!!

Are you able to tell which are my love? Oh! Did I mention, this month’s Bellabox come in a bag. Paperbag! LOL Nah.. It a small cosmetic bag (pouch)!

SANITARY PAD!! This is the first thing that I see when I opened up the paper bag!

I’d received “This is Beautiful” color polish.. Indeed very suitable for its name. This is REALLY beautiful!

This is a purple color with pinkish tone? Many many shimmers!! Very very beautiful!! It’s not very opaque but one coat is still as beautiful.. Need at least 3 coat to hide nail smile line.. But I’m still glad a got this color.. I have a pic of the lacquer I applied on my nails but it on my PC (I’m using mobile app to blog now!)… Shall show you guys again when I’m using my PC again..

Oh! and I nearly forgot.. a copy of Oct Cosmopolitan magazine was included in this month’s Bellabox. However, it was too late to join any contest/giveaway that was publish in it so…. it’s as good as a storybook now.. LOL.. only can read articles..

Belif – Believe in Truth

Are you a Belifer? I am now!! hahaa.. Been wanting to try Belif for quite some time as i had rec’d their samples from those beauty boxes i subscribed.. Especially like the Hungarian Water Essence! I can really feel it giving my skin moisture and my skin doesn’t feels dry after using it during that period! So now, I’ve decided to give it a try!

These are the samples I’ve got during my purchase.. It’s not that they love me so much but.. more like i’m a kiasu* aunty who brought all my redemption leaflets, coupons & even referred a member! hahahaha!

*Kiasu is a Hokkien word that literally means ‘fear of losing’ (Vernacular Chinese: 怕输). Examples of kiasu behaviour includes accumulating too much food on one’s plate during a buffet lunch in case there is no more food later or joining a queue many days in advance just to ensure that one successfully gets hold of the limited free tickets to events, promotions and/or shows.

Mild and effective facial scrub

Mild and effective facial scrub is a soft but effective facial scrub which exfoliates with natural exfoliant lygodium japonicum and unblocks your pores with fibers extracted from French cotton plant. The facial scrub containing Napiers formula DTX frees you and your skin from stressful dead cells.

How to use? Dry your face after cleansing and squeeze a proper amount of the scrub on your palm. Spread the scrub over your face avoiding the eyes and mouth. Gently massage your face for 30 seconds. When dead cells come off, rinse the scrub with warm water.

Creamy cleansing foam Moist

This cleansing foam for normal to combination and dry skin types, is made with natural cleansing and moisturizing properties and using foaming action to softly wash away impurities from your skin. Formulated with Soapwort rich in vitamin C and Wormwood to remove toxins, it produces clean skin without dryness after washing.

How to use? Take a penny-sized amount of the product in your palm, and lather it with water. Massage gently and thoroughly over face, and rinse with lukewarm water.

My thought? I like this! for my big face, i used less than a penny-size and it’s enuff to lather foam.. After wash i do not feel tightness on my face and my face feels clean too!i would definitly recommend this to ladies like me who have combination skin! (I have dry skin surface but oily T-zone)

Update on 26 May 2013:

To conclude my experience, dun waste time trying the scrub. The micro beads in the scrub is very minimum and doesn’t make me feel like it did its job.. 😦 There are definitely better scrub out there.. =X but the cleansing foam is definitely a good buy! Just a green bean size and u can cleanse your whole face!! Sweet!

Crystal cleansing foam Fresh

Creamy cleansing foam refreshes the skin and deep cleanses impurities in pores. Formulated with antioxidant-rich Mediterranean Lemon Balm, it rejuvenates and purifies men’s skin dulled and tired by smoking, drinking, and stress.

My thought? The promoter told me this is more for oily skin but combination skin ladies can use this too as it’s a deep cleansing foam! Yes, DEEP CLEANSE!

Hungarian water essence

This essence contains hydration secrets of the legendary Hungarian Water that enabled Hungarian Queen Elizabeth to maintain her beauty into old age. This product is applied cool like a spritz of water, and clings to the skin lightly without stickiness, prolonging suppleness and softness.

How to use? After applying toner, pump two to three times in your palm and apply gently over the face, moving along the skin surface.

My thought? Very moisturizing! i like this very much! It looks a little like toner, a stickier version of toner.. Does not have any sticky sensation and get absorbs very quickly.. Naise!

The true cream – aqua bomb

With Napiers aqua formula containing Lady’s Mantle, often called “a woman’s hydrating herb,” this refreshing gel cream supplies instant moisture to the skin while forming a protective layer that wraps the skin in comfort.

How to use? After using essence or emulsion, dispense a sufficient amount, gently apply, and spread.

My thought? feels that it’s quite similar to Hungarian water essence, just that it’s more to cream type than water type. It did give me a more moisturized skin but i still prefer Hungarian water essence!

(First Aid) Transforming peel off mask

This unique peel-off mask is formulated with Lemon balm and White willow bark to remove skin debris while tightening pore and providing skin elasticity. Upon contact with water, this creamy mask transforms itself into a thin layer of gel, making easier to take it off without skin irritation.

How to use? Apply a thin layer of mask to clean and dry face, avoiding eye and mouth area. Leave on 10~15 minutes until the mask becomes completely dry and rinse with water. Upon contact with water, this dried mask transforms itself into a thin layer of gel so that peeling-off process can be easier and less irritating.

My thought? No thoughts yet as I have not use this product.. 🙂

(First Aid) Anti-hangover soothing mask

How to use? After cleansing, apply toner and essence. Before or after using cream, apply a thin layer and gently smooth over the entire face. Leave on overnight and rinse off in the morning.

My thoughts? erm.. it’s pretty sticky before u apply to you skin.. it’s like the cheese on the pizza when u are pulling it while it’s hot (but this mask is cool).. it’s may look beige in color but after you apply, it’s transparent. My skin feels quite soothing after applying it, idk why.. The next day when i wake up, i think the mask got fully absorbed into my skin~ Why i say that? because when i take my morning shower, my face doesn’t have those soapy feeling when i washed them! Good or bad?? LOL~

Peat miracle revital eye cream

Humic acid of peat extract in Peat miracle revital eye cream plumps up the eye area and its GABA element accelerates the composition of collagens, which helps to minimizes fine lines around your eyes and smoothes away wrinkles.

How to use? After applying essence or moisturizer, gently pat a small amount of the eye cream around and under the eye with the ring finger until absorbed.

My thoughts? I will never be able to share with you my thoughts on this as i gave this to my mom.. but i’ll see how’s her wrinkles (any missing!!?) and i’ll keep you guys posted!! hahaha!

And what have i decided to bring home?? Yes, these two products! Milky moisturizer Hydra balancing & Creamy cleansing foam Moist!

Have i not share with you the info for Milky moisturizer? Well, this moisturizer for normal to combination skin types (my type!!) is formulated with Sage extracts that help improve the skin’s effective balance between oil and moisture, and its natural capacity to hydrate to keep the skin moisturized and glowing with vitality.

How to use? After applying toner or essence, pump two to three times in your palm and apply evenly over the entire face, moving outwards from the center.

My thoughts? Great! no greasy or sticky feeling and so far so good!! 😀

For my mom, she bought home a Peat miracle revital cream. Similar to the eye cream but this is for the face!

Cell turnover means a cycle of your skin where young cells replace aged skin cells. As you get older, your turnover loses its rhythm and speeds up aging process. Peat miracle revital cream contains peat extract and improves your turnover rate by 9.28%, rejuvenating and hydrating your skin.

How to use? After using essence or lotion, apply an appropriate amount over the face and spread it until it is absorbed.

Very happy with my purchase and even happier with my caricature drawing!!!!

APRIL BLACK BOX!! (what box???) Yes… Blackbox.. Its a new sample box! and the best part is….. ehem.. listen carefully! IT’S COMPLETELY FREE! yes you heard me.. it’s free.. it’s complimentary.. it’s UNBELIEVEABLE! haha.. (now makes me wonder why am i paying $25 for another sample box???)

If you have kids, i believe you would know this brand Zappy.. One of my colleague is a “fan” of zappy – mostly used on her sonny, that’s why.. She would grab zappy when it’s on sale! Below is the wipe that she always buy.. and its not very costly! *thumbs up*

Hello Hellooo~ It time again for Vanity Trove!! everytime i receive VT it means the month is ending sooon! time flies!! Now let seee what we have here~~

Philosoply.. in one of the previous trove, i had got Hope in a Jar and Purity samples.. and this month’s trove, i’ve got even moreee.. looking at it, im in fact more keen in using the Microdelivery Peel (which comes in a 2-steps sample pack).

Next in the queue, we have samples from belif..

On 10 Nov, BHG Bishan had a closed door event, only for DBS/POSB/BHG member.. Fortunately, I’m all of the above! So I’m even more excited!!! I grabbed nothing but Laneige products this time! But trust mi, most of them belongs to my mom!
