When I was contacted few days back to do this product review, I agreed without second thought! I saw the advertisement on TV, at Watson’s, in Magazines, they all look so promising!!

Those who know me will be aware that pigmentation (freckles) has always been my greatest enemy! Like going for a slimming center program, it cost a bomb (maybe a few) to get rid of them!! Especially when these freckles are with me since young age! (Now I regret why I didn’t start to apply sun block when my mom asked me too!)

I’ve tried a few whitening products but very often will stop using them after some time.. Why? Because most of them are either too drying for my skin or too much damage to my wallet. Some don’t even shows result.. T_T I have combination skin type hence finding a suitable product is very important! It must be effective yet will not cause (too much) dehydration! Not forgetting that it must be wallet-friendly too!! LOL…!

Without further ado *excited*, let’s start talking about the products!!

Neutrogena Clinical Fine Fairness Radiance Essence (30g, S$45.90)

I like the classic white and gold (they claimed it’s bronze..) combination but color combination isn’t a factor I consider when buying/trying a product. It will probably only affect where I place them after I bought them home.. LOL! Anyway, that’s beside the point! I think this range looks pretty much like a higher range product among Neutrogena skincare line.

FYI, these are not glass bottle so no worries if you are gonna break them or too heavy to bring around/travel!

(DID YOU SEE IT?? 1 bottle tackles 1 year stubborn spots!! Can I just grab 15 bottles!?)

When you open the cap, you will see that it’s a pump bottle with two nozzle. This isn’t something new in the market so nothing too hoo-ha about it..

For its packaging, I think it’s pretty nice. The only thing about it is that it would be better if I can tell how much essence left in the bottle (IMO)..

Now that you’ve seen the packaging, let me share with you more about what I thought of the essence..

Now you see the purpose of the 2 nozzle?? Yes, it’s to ooze two different type of essence at once (it’s a double chamber pump).

See the two difference in color? All u have to do is just use ur finger and gently blend & apply them onto ur pretty face!

It can blend very easily so there’s no worry that it won’t blend or whatsoever. It has this very “neutrogena” scent.. light.. soothing.. makes me goes “hmm~~”

Texture wise i think it’s pretty light weight and my skin is absorbing it well! Leaves no sticky or oily feeling! My skin feels kinda smooth after some time, not sure it’s my good skin day or this effect of this product! Hahaha~

Side track abit.. I used to not like neutrogena product because donkey years ago (before I had my freckles nightmare and I do mean donkey yearsss ago because I can’t even remember when!!) I ever tried their basic skincare range and I was like OMG~ it’s too oily for me and I got so phobia of it until this new clinical solution that “promise” 1 bottle tackles 1 year stubborn spots!! Every woman has their weakness! WAHAHAHA!!

I must admit after using this essence, it did changes my impression of “oily” neutrogena! 😀 I kinda like how this essence feels on my face and I can’t wait to finish one bottle!!!

Other the the Radiance Essence, I had also recieved the Neutrogena Clinical Fine Fairness Radiance Cream (50g, $34.90)

A luxurious non-oily moisturising formula infused with VITAL-IONSTM and Lily Nectar, it aids deep skin renewal at night, helping to make skin look brighter, fairer and more radiant. Its clinical strength formulation works to reduce melanin production and improves skin tone and clarity, while at the same time providing sufficient hydration for dewy soft, smooth and moisturised skin with youthful luminosity. Spread a small amount evenly on face and neck every night every night after Neutrogena Clinical Fine Fairness Radiance Essence.

FYI, this amount is too much to apply regularly! I used this much is just to show you the product clearly..

Although it’s stated that it’s a “non-oily moisturizer”, I feels that this is still a lil too oily for my liking. It’s not as light weight as compare to the moisturizer I’m using now but probably because it’s not a gel-type. Cream base moisturizer tends to be slightly “oily”..

Third item that comes together with this review is something every girl/woman/lady out there needs! A SUN BLOCK!!! Please, this is a very very important thing to start if you don’t want to see pigmentation/freckles/spots!!!

Neutrogena Clinical Fine Fairness Multi-Protect UV Fluid SPF50+ PA+++ (50g, $34.90)

This is also a pump bottle but only one nozzle, you don’t need two for sun block.. It won’t makes it more powerful.. LOL.. You know this colour just reminds me of this paticular L brand’s (ambassodor is Song Hye-Kyo?) make up base/primer? Both are purple (lilac, to be exact) color and purple seems to be known for it’s “whitening” effect.. Or I should say great color to even out skin tone. (I have a clear purple base coat by Essence, it’s for whitening of nails too! Let me go dig out the pic to show you when I have the time)

Sorry if you can’t “visualise” the purple-ness (more or lilac? go google it) of it.. I just have to figure out my camera setting before my next post!! Nonetheless, I can show you the power of this Multi-Protect UV Fluid!

I only applied the product on half of my face and I can see that it has even out my skin tone and also skin looks healthier!

Basically the image (left & right) are the same. Just that I had circled the obvious brighten area on the right image and the image on the left are without the “circle” to distract u.. 🙂

Overall, I think this product is really worth a try, especially the essence!! I haven’t showed you my result right?? LOL..

This is my freckles condition before using this product.. Aren’t they … adorable? =X

And here’s after 2 weeks of using it.. Although there isn’t a GREAT difference but result is still visible.. Even my boyfriend dropped a random comment last Sunday (6 July) over breakfast.. “Hey, ur spot seems to have lighten? Did u do something?”

I was like “REALLY?? Breakfast on me!!!” ^_^

I’m happy hearing this because he isn’t aware I’m currently using Neutrogena Fine Fairness products!! This shows that this product is really shows result! Now I’m looking fwd to finish the whole bottle!

You see the lighten spots??? *happy* I’ll definitely recommend this to those who face freckles problem like me!!!

July Trove – Midsummer Gala!

Seriously… I’m running out of idea on how-to-make-an-opening.. LOL “Hello everyone” “Hi readers”… what have i not used? *thinking*

Today, im gona share with you my July Trove box! Its a love & no love complex emotion!

So many things this month, i can even see makeup stuff in it! Bravo~! But where should i start now? Probably i’ll start with something that i had started using?

It’s Avancé Dou Demaquiillant Super – An instant remover design for resistant and waterproof eye make-up! Gentle to the eye while removing the waterproof eye makeup.
A formula that remove and at the same time gently moisture delicate eye area as it contain soothing and moisturizing ingredient, Chamomile flower extract and Trehalose.

Avancé is the pioneer for Eye Makeup and Eye Care in Japan. It was the FIRST to launch the Avancé “Mascara” with Lash Treatment and Waterproof technology to Japan in 1937.

Shake well before use, apply it on a cotton pad and wipe over the eyes gently for around 5 seconds. It can remove eyeshadow, eyebrow color and waterproof mascara effectively!

My opinion? I think this is by far the best eye makeup remover i had used. I recall that i had tried L’Oreal before but it is totally weak! Avancé made me goes WOW when im trying to remove my Maybelline’s gel liner! Gel liner user.. u know how difficult it is to remove gel liner, waterproof somemore! But with this baby, it doesn’t matter how stubborn your gel liner is, it will still melt away in no time!

I included a few pictures to show u how i remove my eyeliner using Avancé….

See my black black gel liner? It’s very difficult to remove even with BioDerm/Biore Jelly!

But what i did was to only placed my cotton pad (already soaked with reasonable amount of Avancé remover) over my eyelid for about 5 secs and i just gently swipe it across my eye and……

It’s more then half gone! I did not apply much pressure and its already half gone! This time with my unused side of cotton pad, i wipe it again and its’s near gone.. i think this is the most effective eye makeup remover i had used!

Buy again?? of course!!? it’s really good! On days that i put on heavy eye makeup, i can reply on this to clean up the mess at the end of the day! *thumbs up*

Next up, it’s Physiogel! I’ve got a travel size Physiogel Cleanser in my trove! This cleanser is a hypoallergenic, non-comedogenic soap-free cleanser that cleanses, soothes and softens without drying the skin. The amazing thing is that.. it can be use with or without water!!

Neutrogena Hydro Boost again.. oh wait! This is water gel without the SPF! The one i got in previous trove is with SPF 15! I haven’t try the one with SPF but for this, i think im good with just the sample. I don’t like the sticky sensation when I’m applying the gel.. It’s not like you can stick anything to your face but it’s the tacky feeling that i don’t like. If you think it’s lightweight, i think Laneige moisturizer is even more lightweight. If you think it cooling, i think Laneige one is even better.. Conclusion, this is not my cup of tea..

Mask from Herborist! TBH, I have not heard of Herborist before.. so i did a little google search and found this…

The lip & cheek stain is pretty obvious when applied on hand.. sheer pinkish color.. unlike Lipdrink is totally invisible..

Under certain angle, you will then see the Lipdrink’s shine.. Lip & Cheek Stain is still sheer pinkish color.. and i’m still wondering.. “how can it be a cheek stain this way??” I ignored my hand and continue with the photo taking of all my trove product.. about 15 mins later when i’m packing up….

I got a shock, the lip & cheek stain changed color!! Or rather the color turned darker! Now it is a cheek stain! hahahaa.. It looks very natural and not too drama.. I’m pretty impress.. Moving fwd, i might consider trying more of their product if they’re not too difficult to get..

Vichy is pretty hot in Singapore, been seeing the ads a lot on TV.. and now i can get my hands on it again (I think i had previously used their whitening sample – Bi-White Lotion? Can’t recall how is it but… if i can’t recall means it isn’t that fantastic?? You decide..)

June Trove – Summer Crush

VANITY TIME!! Yey!!!! Sorry this month was a bit late (very late actually!) got my box for almost 2 weeks and now finally i have the time to do up my post~! Busy week~~ Hectic week~~

If you ask me, i think this is the best hair oil I’ve used so far!! Because this hair oil comes at the right time! Recently i did a perm aand it caused my hair to be super duper dry and frizzy! Update on 26th June 2013:

Drinking my first pack today! pretty excited.. The fact that it’s not slimming powder makes me feel that it’s gona taste better! Lots better!

When pouring the powder, you can already smell the mild sweetness and you know this is gona taste good! It totally smells like those Vitamin C tablets (ie: Redoxon perhaps) or even Eno Fruit Salt..

The powder turns pink when u pour it into your drink (or juice) but its not gona change your drink color.. so dun worry! Overall, i think it’s pretty yummy and may taste better if you actually added it into juice than plain water. Plain water is tasteless and this powder does not taste as sweet as what you are smelling..

Lexus & Collagen drink is my breakfast for today!!

August Trove – Rocket Science

Ah ha! It’s time again for the once a month thingy!! Ah.. Don’t worry! It’s not menses time.. It’s Vanity Trove time!!!

This month’s trove was a bit late.. And with the courier service “mis-delivery” it’s even later.. What actually happen? Ah.. Long story.. But since u insist to know, I will share a bit! (hahahaha!!)

VT had announced (on FB) that trove will be late but will still be arriving bef Aug! I’m waiting with my neck longer than giraffe’s! And on 31st morning, while I was out in the morning, the courier came! Shucks!! Y no call me!?

I called courex back to arrange for re-delivery anytime that day as I’ll be home WHOLE DAY! But they said the earliest date for re-delivery is 2Aug! Man~~! At the same time I checked w them izit a norm that courier guy not calling bef delivery? And guess wat, they said only upon request then they will call bef delivery.. (thn wat’s e diff w this courier and Singpost Registered Mail??) So I decided to drop VT an email.. With VT’s reply I’m sure we think alike! Courex should call before delivery! That is the norm! What is Mr. Courex (i’m not mentioning name but I’m keeping the delivery notification w his name) doing?? Where is the good service courex USED TO have??

Sigh…..

Anyway, here’s my trove! Kinda weird to see a pack of sth taped outside the Trove.. Did they forgot to put it in or was it an extra due to the delay??

Plenty of fun stuff!!! Quite happy with this month’s trove as it doesn’t have facial foam, toner & moisturizer anymoreeee!! Yippie!!

Just tried the grape seed extract.. WAH !! I feel as if I will hv diabetic on the spot! Hahahah!! So sweet so thick!! But the aftertaste is so yummy! Hahaha… A lil sourish but not to the extend u will goes >_

Here is the apple of my eye!! This shower gel smell sooooooo nice! It made mi feel like I’m showering in some 5 stars hotel!!! I used it this morning and I can still sense the fragrance lingering around mi when I’m in office for almost half a day already!! If it is cost effective, I might consider getting a regular size!?? Hiak hiak hiak!!! Heartz!!

Next next!! Eye therapy mask~ planned to try it tmr… Shall update over the weekend!! ^^V

UPDATE on 11 August 2012: here’s my very late update!! finally got my chance to use this eye mask last weeeek..!

The mask.. It’s a one whole pcs thingy!! now even the neglected area get some nourish!! hahaha.. i’m not sure to say its good or it’s bad..

Good because i feel less tired aft the masking session. i dono izit because i just took a power nap of 10mins or because it really makes mi feel better.. HAHA! & bad because other than that i don’t feel anything special..

Probably other type of mask may be better for mi.. geez~!

This is Majorlica Majorca Eye Reset gel a.k.a. eye makeup remover.. this is good.. almost works the same like my Biore Jelly makeup remover. Just that this is specially for eye area.

Just a little bit like this, smaller then 10c coin, i can remove my eyeliner (waterproof gel liner from Kate)..

PLEASE! pardon my *uncensored* untrimmed brow! i waiting for it to grow so that i can visit Erabelle! LOL!! (You’ll find out why Erabelle soon!)

Here.. see.. my eyeliner is gone without much effort.. Its a good eye makeup remover IMO. but since i already have my Biore jelly makeup remover, which can remove waterproof eye makeup too, i don’t see a point in why should i purchase this. But if u are those who needs specifically EYE makeup removal, i will recommend you to get it.. It’s quick and easy!
