My stash of… Lipcolors (2016)

YEH! I’m writing again! I’ve haven’t been sharing much on makeup product this year isn’t it, especially lip color!

I’ve been kinda into lip color (again) lately but the thing is I usually put them on only in the morning. I don’t do touch up, I don’t bring them out.. LOL! Anyway, that’s beside the point. Nice color must still be shared!

And so… here are the latest collection I have.. Enough to create different look for 2 weeks!! *pout*

Today post, I will only be sharing with my favorite few out of this 12 sticks!

Let’s start with something new ..

MAYBELLINE – LIP FLUSH BITTEN LIPS LIPSTICK (RD02)

Maybelline – this is definitely not my first gradient lip stick! My first was from VDL. It was pretty sheer and girls who love natural look wold probably love it (you can check it out from HERE).

I thought this would be the same too until i tried the tester at Watson’s and I’m like .. “Wow, quite pigmented as compared to VDL triple shot!” Not only that, it’s pretty easy to glide on and it can cover my dry chapped lips!

Did I mention, it smells sweet too!

LOREAL – BLOSSOM TINT CARESSE (B06 Rose Blossom)

This cushion tint gives a velvety finish on its own and works great too when used with other lip color! I just love how the cushion can help to create gradient lips so easily and NO MESS at all!

And if you didn’t know yet, this tint can be a blusher and eye shadow too!

Below image shows u the different look it can give.. Yes, all using the same stick!

Well I’ve tried to do some laying of the color and I think they looks great!!

Top image is my Maybelline’s bitten lips and bottom is layed with Loreal’s tint caresse.

Chio (pretty) right? LOL.. I like how the laying works! The way it gives a playful yet not too drama look! And it’s not the boring monotone color! So 3D!

I’ve tried them on my hands to show u a more accurate color tone of my bitten lips (it seems more pink on lips in those photos).. It’s suppose to be more red though..

I’m definitely getting other colors to my collection!

Next, I’m sharing with you some collection I’ve got from VDL! It’s not triple shot but something that caught my eyes too!

VDL – Pantone Expert Color Lip Cube Tranquility – 01 Serenity

I won’t exactly say this is a lip color because it doesn’t really give you pink/red/violet color on your lips. Instead it works more like a (sheer) lip balm/ lip base.

You applied it on your lips (clear) and just wait few sec you’ll see it turned sheer pink!

IMO, this wasn’t as good as Son & Park Sugar Tint but I love how the blue and pink marble effect the lipstick look! #socool!

Taking another VDL color that I have (105 Pink Positive) I layer it on top of my Serenity!

Such elegant color not only looks beautiful, it gives SPF protection and moisturized your lips too!

If you have realized, my VDL lipstick all comes in a cube top! This is not found in other competitors product yet! So what’s so good about the cubic edge? It actually helps your draw a more accurate/define cupid bow – easier to achieve one too!!

Next up, my happiest purchase!!

URBAN DECAY – MATTE REVOLUTION (1993)

Bought this during a sale event and until now I can’t get over the excitement!!

As the name suggest, it’s a matte lip color. But you can see it’s not those drying matte color. It still give a lil natural shine and cover my chapped lips well! All this thanks to it’s creamy non drying formula!

Another beauty of this lippie is that it can gives you different look depending on how many layers you apply and how you do it!

From a natural to a rocker! LOL.. For use who prefer lighter tone, you can achieve with 1993 too! Just lightly dap it on your lips and blend them!

Seriously, everyday different look is achievable from these different lippie!!! Try changing a color today!!

My stash of…… Eyeliners!

REVAMPED!! I had revamped this post (if you have noticed)!!

What’s good will still be good and what’s not will remain as it is too!

In this post, I’m gonna be sharing my collection of eyeliners with you!

Without further ado, let’s read on!

CLIO – Gelpresso Waterproof Pencil Gel liner

Type: Gel Pencil

What I like: Anything GEL is my soft spot!! Smooth application and very convenient! Who says I need to bring a sharpener around to sharp my eyeliner pencil? Who says sharpener is a waste of space in your makeup pouch? Well, CLIO proofs you wrong!

This waterproof gel liner comes with a built-in sharpener! Small and handy! Waste space? I don’t think so..

What I don’t like: The only downside I suppose is that the tip gets broken easily. You have to be gentle when sharpening this..

How it look: Color is pretty shimmery like it can make you eyes glow!

These few pics are my worn out look.. it was almost end of the day when i took these pic and you can see the eyeliner is still visible (though a little fade off)..

Removing it: Totally easy-peasy!! Even makeup remover sheet can do a good job!

How did I know about it: I get to know about CLIO from Bellabox! They were having some giveaway and I got lucky to bring home the dark blue gel liner (Bellabox giveaway) and later the Nude one from Vanity Trove!

Will I buy again: Yes! I’m a black eyeliner person! The last time I check out Watson’s for their eyeliner, they only has got black with gold shimmer. If guess if they have Gelpresso in black (just black), I will purchase them without hesitation!

K-Palette – Real Lasting Eyeliner 24h Waterproof 1 Day Tattoo

Type: Liquid liner

What I like: This 1 Day Tattoo is really amazing! It’s not only waterproof, it’s smudgeproof! No matter how I try to rub it off, the eyeliner stays on like a stubborn cow! LOL.. Super good one for fine/precise line!!

What I don’t like: Can’t afford any error..! One stroke off and that’s it. But there’s always a solution to every problem.. Use a pencil liner to draw the base color first (get the shape I want) then use my liquid eyeliner to go over it. By doing so, chances of my eyeliner getting out of shape is reduced greatly!

How it look: I haven’t try it on my eyes so will update this section when I do so!

Removing it: Although I mentioned that this liquid eyeliner is stubborn like a cow, you can still easily remove it with an oil-based makeup remover or any cleansing sheet.

How did I know about it: Promoter?? I was at Japalang’s warehouse sale and the promoter was super promoting this!

Will I buy again: Hmm, maybe not. I’m not a liquid eyeliner person so it doesn’t really tempt me in getting a whole bunch home even if some superstar had endorsed it.

Secret Key – Secret Kiss Gel Pencil

Type: Gel Pencil

What I like: Like I mention, GEL liner is my soft spot! This is pretty much one of my favourite ever since KATE gel pencil was discontinued (check out my brief KATE post HERE & HERE).

What I don’t like: You need to sharpen this and it’s too short! I bought the full size eyeliner but doesn’t seems as good as this.. I don’t know maybe psychological effect..??

How it look: So here’s the 5 colors! Not all colors are of practical use to me actually… So far, I had tried the Shinee Pink (2nd from top), Choco Brown & Deep Black (last two).

This set of eyeliners are waterproof but I guess not smudge-proof. One rub and you see the color runs (or maybe I did not give it enough time to dry? I rub them immediately after I put down my last eyeliner pencil.. oops!)

Using my Secret Kiss Deep Black and Shinee Pink, this is my Monday look! I do not have double eyelid, The only reason I can think of now (to justify why it is showing in the pic) is that it must be due to TIRED EYES!

The color is not as black as using a gel pot/liquidliner but it is definitely darker than using pencil. I used the black gel liner on my upper lid and the pink on my lower (just the inner) lid. With the aid of a mascara (in this makeup, I used Catrice waterproof mascara), my eyes looks brighter immediately! It’s a pity i wasn’t wearing my Misaki lens yesterday! Else it would be a GOOD EYE DAY~!

Below is my Choco Brown eyeliner~ It gives a softer look! So normally on days where I’m feeling a lil lazy, I’ll just put this on and a lil BB cream & I’m done.. at least I won’t look sleepy or look like I’m going around kill.. LOL!

Removing it: See after cleansing with my makeup remover sheet, the mark is still visible! Normally, I would use a gel based makeup remover to remove this! It’s only for this post, I used a makeup remover sheet.

I’ve also screenshot some info from Secret Key (Qoo10 seller) about the product!

How did I know about it: Qoo10! While doing window shopping I saw this and thought was pretty cool (& cheap) to try various color and there it goes into my cart! Sharing you with the link below!

BTW, It’s waterproof.. not waterploof.. (LOL)

Will I buy again: 80% Yes! If you like the set I had (Twinkle Edition No.1), sorry, I believe they are out of stock! But it’s ok, NEW colours are available (Twinkle Rose Edition No.2)!! I’m so tempted to get this!

Maybelline – Lasting Drama Pen Gel Liner

Type: Gen Pen

What I like: Intensively BLACK and opaque!! Waterproof and smudgeproof!! Not to forget it dry fast too!

What I don’t like: It’s kinda hard to control the gel ink and not very user friendly.. and dry too fast. LOL!

How it look: Nope I didn’t take any picture and decided to keep it till it expire and donate to the dustbin!

Removing it: Can’t remember!

How did I get to know: Window shopping kills! Hahahaha! Saw this in Watson’s and thought it’s pretty intense! so decided to give it a try…

Will I buy again: NO.

TONY MOLY

Type: Gen bottle

What I like: This is my first gel eyeliner! Intensively BLACK and opaque tooo!! Like a pro when you have a bottle of gel eyeliner!! LOL~!

What I don’t like: Too troublesome to have to use a separate eyeliner brush!

How it look: I didn’t manage to picture of how it look on my eyes before it’s gone but this is really a good bottle if you do not have shaky hands!!

Looking at the below pic, what does it shows you? Maybelline indeed is a reputable brand huh? LOL! After applying the eyeliner, I tried using one finger to rub it (one stroke down) and result is clear! Maybe I didn’t give Tony Moly enough drying time?!

Removing it: Easy peasy! Normal cleansing sheet/makeup remover can do a good job!

How did I get to know: Again, window shopping!

Will I buy again: Maybe?? Not that it’s no good.. BUT now that there’re gel pencil available, why still go for bottle one??? Not like I’m a pro~

Solone – Alice Fantasy Series Perfect Drawing Eyeliner: S$14.90

Solone Black Cavier

Type: Gel Pencil

What I like: Do I still need to say this?? GEL of course~!! Alice Fantasy collection is cool because it can act as an eye shadow too! Not only that, its swivel design make things so easy for user (works similar like clio), it’s waterproof & smudgeproof!!

What I don’t like: I can’t find any fault.. probably not may colors to choose..?

How it look: The color I bought is #01 Black Cavier!!

It’s not solid black kinda tone but I love it with the little shimmer. Not too exaggerating yet not boring.

Removing it: No challenge at all!

How did I get to know: Through a friend.. We were shopping at Plaza Singapore’s John Little and she recommended me this!

Will I buy again: Yes, I think it’s worth the value!

Solone – Gel Eyeliner: S$11.90

Type: Gel Pencil

What I like: The smooth application is awesome (smoother than Alice Fantasy)! No eyeliner that I purchase is not waterproof! I love gel and waterproof stuff!!! This eyeliner dries in quick 10 seconds! Hence there is no need to worry about smudging!!

What I don’t like: You really need a sharpener to sharpen this!! So not advance~

How it look: This is much darker than the fantasy collection..! Reminds me of the Tony Moly bottle gel liner..

Removing it: No trouble at all! Any remover can go a good job!

How did I get to know: Through a friend.. We were shopping at Plaza Singapore’s John Little and she recommended me this!

Will I buy again: Yes…! Who can resist gel pencil!?

Update as of 31 Oct:

I have using Holika Holika (bought online) for a period and I think I’m loving it.. Gimme some time and I shall share more about it later!!

Well, to conclude it all, I usually purchase eyeliner based on ease of use! Waterproof or not is not an issue for me because non-waterproof eyeliner will nvr appear in my “to-buy list”. LOL.. If I have to give a recommendation based on what I’ve used today, It will be either Secret Kiss or ~~CLIO~~ Solone (It’s a pity I can’t find KATE Gel Pencil anymore). They are really easy to handle and no matter which level of eyeliner guru u are, Secret Kiss/~~CLIO~~Solone will never fails u! If you need something BOLD, I will recommend Tony Moly’s gel pot! It just take once to know if a product is good or not. Never try never know..

What’s next? Lip color or BB cream recommendation? Stay tune!

My NEW eyeliner!

My new eyeliner from Maybelline!! Hurray!! Why this eyeliner? Because I’m so obsess with GEL liner these days! In additional, this is a pen type which i believe it will be much easier to use than those in pots (& needs a brush).

It was the ad in Watson’s that caught my attention! Waterproof… WOW! Gel… WOW! Pen.. WOW! It’s everything i wanted all in one~! (BTW, im currently using KATE’s gel pencil, it’s good but tends to smudge a bit towards the end of the day.)

So this is my gel pen! i did something so stupid when I’m trying to remove the cap! Instead of turn open, i keep trying to pull open! nearly break open the cap! ROFL! All i need to do is just twist and pull out the cap, nothing too difficult (don’t understand what am i struggling with earlier! duh!!)

After it is open, you will see a stopper stuffed in the “mouth” of the eyeliner.. I believe this is to prevent leakage?

The grey pointed tip is pretty flexible.. Bend here bend there, no problem! LOL.. It took me some time to get the gel out… I’ve been turning & turning & turning the end of the pen but the gel doesn’t seems to flow out.

Until i get more impatient i do a few “big” turn and finally i see my gel~

I think i need more practice to get the hang of this new eyeliner as it is kinda like “you-cant-make-mistake” type of eyeliner. Not sure if this gel liner has only one color but seems like it to me. I love this gel color. blackest black! Its really waterproof and less messy (as compare to pot).

I put on this gel liner yesterday and i’m quite happy with it! Why? Because i do not need to wipe away those smudge gel as time goes by.. It stayed (very) black whole day and made me look so alert! hahaha.. & trust me when i say waterproof because i cant remove my eyeliner with Bioderm makeup remover! i had to use a waterproof eye makeup remover to remover them. With my waterproof eye makeup remover, removing this gel liner is no sweat! You can see here for my review on the eye makeup remover.

Overall, i think i will buy this again when i finish using mine and hopefully by then i had already get a hang of it already!

Eyeliner..

It’s my all time favourite make up “equipement”.. Had started with a pencil.. and, before gel was known, a liquid liner.. and finally my first gel liner (not really first, but second.. u’ll know why!)

PENCIL: my very first eye pencil was those that requires a sharpener!! HOW antique~! but it was convenient and i love it.. and slowly.. i got upgraded to using KATE (by Kanebo) Refillable! how convenient again! HAHA! been using for quite some time until black color went out of stock island wide~ T_T and i got myself a brown refill which is the most bottom one you see in the above pic.. very light color.. dun really fancy it.. and that is when i have the thot of.. “Time for a change..” and before i can take action.. my mom returned home w BAD NEWS!

“你的 Kate discontinued!”

*drop jaw!!* sigh.. now i really need to find one…. and my mom was kind enuff to get mi a replacement pencil liner, again from Kate.. but this type, no refill..

LIQUID: as the word reads.. liquid.. its a liquid liner.. Well, this is the second liquid type i own.. this first one is… couldnt rmb anymore.. HA! but this is cool! This liner, i do not need to dap dap dap to let my brush filled w ink.. its now more like an auto liquid liner.. hahaha! but seriously.. i still cant really get a hand of liquid liner (any type)… it’s dun seems very… 顺手 to me! the brush dun seems to go my way when im rushing! and i always need the aid of a pencil liner bef i can actually apply a liquid liner.. how pathetic… T_T but again *touch wood* this Maybelline Hyper Sharp Liner is still.. so far so good!

GEL: went online.. started running in and out of gmarket! u know when ur budget is running low but u know u need an eyeliner.. but again.. u know u shd stop spending!! GRR.. and in the end.. my hand took charge.. after a few clicks, Tony Moly gel eyeliner got delivered to my place… Seriously.. why TM out of so many brand you mite asked.. i had tried BobbiBrown bef.. it’s great.. i love it.. but my skin doesnt.. it turns out.. im allergic to BB.. T_T and had to gv away my BB gel liner.. so i continue looking around and found TM.. one thing i like abt it is that i do not need to get a seperate brush for my liner.. it comes together.. How convenient, yes, again… hahaha! i love convenient things!!!

This pic on the left is the TM Gel liner i applied on my right eye.. it’s almost as easy to apply as pencil.. or at least to me, it is like this.. and the color is as sharp as liquid liner.. ok my drawing skill may not be perfect but i still think it is nice!!! isnt it!?? HAHAHAHA!!

I think im already in love with gel liner!!! I’m gona get a GEL PENCIL soon too!! one thing to mention.. GEL liner is also smudge proof, or was it just TM?

Now can you guess which is which?? haha!!

Now this pic is a “rub-experiment” after applying all four eyeliners… Now u see which is smudge-proof? Just one rub and everything is clear enuff… haha! oh man! i love GEL~
