My All Time Favourite – Makeup Stash!

POST of the year!! A compilation of my favourite makeup product here!

What can get me excited? Anything NEW..!!! I remember when I was a kid, I always wanted to go home after I got my toy!! That’s why my mom always put my “shopping session” last.. 😥 Now that I’ve grown up, this habit never change.. It just got improvised! Instead of wanting to go home to open up my toy immediately, I opened them up when I got a chance to!! Like, when we’re sitting down for dinner or while waiting to bus/train?? But of course this time, it ain’t children’s toy anymore.. It’s my beauty products..

I’ve always love to try new things!! Eyeliner.. BB cream/foundation.. Blusher.. Lip color.. As long as it’s new it’s worth a try until you know it’s not. LOL! So after trying several products, below are the few that becomes the apple of my eye.. ❤

Laneige BB Cushion Pore Control

What I like about it: Gives a dewy look & made my complexion looks really brightened!

What I don’t like about it: It can’t withstand the humid weather in Singapore and I look really CUI (ugly – makeup turned cakey over the forehead/nose/chin) by the time I reached office.

Remedy: Use it only on non-working day, like going on a date? *heartz*

Ettusais BB Cream

(suppose to be pink tube, not this white one)

What I like about it: Matt look that last! Good oil control and give pretty decent coverage!

What I don’t like about it: Probably not the latest technology already..

Remedy: They gonna improvised it?

Covermark Creamy Liquid Foundation

What I like about it: It cover marks and look very natural! Thin layer of foundation is all you need to flawless good skin look! Another point worth mentioning, this foundation sure can withstand hot sun! I wear it to work everyday and still looks good end of the day! FYI, my journey to office is often exhuasting~ T_T Up the slope.. Long walk.. Hot sun.. Yes, regular BB cream will just melt and make me look disgusting but this creamy liquid foundation stay totally cool!!

What I don’t like about it: Not at this moment..

SKII Cream Foundation

What I like about it: You just need a lil dot to look flawless and a lil more on pigment are for excellent coverage..! Not only I look good almost the whole day with this foundation, my T-zone are well controlled (in terms of oiliness) too!! *whistle*

What I don’t like about it: The way this foundation is packed, I feel it’s not very hygienic and quality of the foundation may be affected as we open and close the lid too many time. 😦 Plus, it’s SUPER expensive loh..

Remedy: Hygiene wise, use a spatula? Cost wise, save up to buy..!! It’s worth the cents!

Marc Jacob Skyliner

What I like about it: Smooth application, opaque color, super long lasting & doesn’t smudge! Click HERE to read more about it.

What I don’t like about it: Expensive, perhaps? S$36 for one regular size skyliner.

Remedy: Save up before splurging? LOL

Holika Holika Jewel-light waterproof Eyeliner

What I like about it: Smooth application, opaque color and comes in many color too!

What I don’t like about it: Price are kinda costly if you are going to purchase them in retail store/counter. Some might not like the fact that it needs a sharpener (but I’m fine with this..)

Remedy: Purchase online! =X Qoo10 latest promo 2 for S$8.85 (or something!!) Sharpener cost less than a dollar..

VDL Triple Shot Tintbar

What I like about it: When you say convenient.. Nothing beats this!! Three tone in one!! Ombre/Gradient lips in a sec!

What I don’t like about it: Not very long lasting and colour is a bit sheer.

Remedy: Good to use this if you want a natural gradient lip color.

Peri Pera Tint Glow Stick

What I like about it: Nice bright color that’s not too exaggerating! Healthy glow.. and LASTING~ LOOONG LASTING…

What I don’t like about it: Breaks TOO EASILY!!! Broken when I first used it. Lucky I didn’t throw away..

Remedy: Hell I have no idea!

Canmake

What I like about it: Has different tone of color in a palette and it has shimmers! This will brighten your look and make you look more cheery.

What I don’t like about it: I will let you know when I find out..

What I like about it: Like the sleek design! It comes with 4 tones of a particular colour and it has PLENTY of shimmer!!! Bling Bling~~

Covermark Moisture Veil Creamy Liquid Workshop – Part 2

Happy 2015 everyone!! Although I am 10 days late BUT(!) it’s the thought that count!!

Not forgetting, Happy SG50!!! Yes, this year is Singapore 50th Birthday tooooo!! 😀

Well, today’s post has got nothing to do with National Day nor fireworks. I’m here to continue my unfinished work… Do you remember I was sharing with you the Covermark Workshop I attended in early December? CAN’T!!? Nevermind, click HERE to read!

So after I got home, I quickly opened up my goodie bag and found myself a bag full of goodness!!

Basically, to summerize it all, we’ve got all we need for our daily skin care regime! From makeup remover to cleanser all the way to loose powder!!

They are very generous to give participants 3 days worth of sample sachet (toner, serum, moisturizer)!!

Toner smells good and quite hydrating.. 1 sachet like this is more than enough for my whole face and don’t forget your neck!! Neck is one BIG factor that reveals your age!!

150ml – S$160

After toner, we should use serum. I thought serum should be translucent kinda texture but Covermark’s serum let me feels more like a moisturizer.. Again, don’t be stingy, 1 sachet for 1 usage..

40ml – S$210

I can’t tell you how much I love this Cell Advance collection.. They’re not only moisturizing, they can repair our mother cell and myeloid stem cells! In short, using Cell Advance collection for a period of time, you will notice an uplifting and radiance on your skin! Like glowing from within…!

Next is this moisturizer… This moisturizer is advisable to use only at night! You must be thinking WHY ONLY AT NIGHT!?

Let me tell you WHY……

Because………………..

It’s super oily la!! My skin is shining like I’ve never seen before! This oily look will last quite a while.. But you know what, I’m not very bothered by it because it somehow doesn’t leave behind the oily sensation. Seems like it only look oily but doesn’t feel oily. I know I’m confusing you but.. If this is what is takes to have beautiful skin, I’m quite ok to use it every night..

Oiliness (shiny/glow, whatever you call it) aside, this moisturizer is pretty good! My skin feels tighten but not drying at all.. I wake up with skin looking healthy and no oily T-zone!!

Now that we have cleanse and treat our skin, time for make up?? Yup!! There are sample sachets of the new Creamy Liquid Foundation and Loose Powder!!

See how thoughtful they are, although it’s only sample sachet, they include the makeup sponge for you toooo!!

Yup, just this size to give you that natural good skin look!! Need extra coverage? Just dap a lil bit more on them and viola~ You look awesome now!!

To finish the whole look, this loose powder is not something you wanna miss!! It adds radiant to your skin and make you looks flawless!!

Tried and tested, I’m looking awesome even after a long walk to my office under the hot sun!! Totally loving this new product!!

Who will come to Orchard at such early morning on Sunday!? ehem, Me… Although a lil tired but I’m more of excited to attend this workshop!! So what workshop made me so excited?

It’s Covermark’s NEW Launch – Moisture Veil Creamy Liquid Workshop, held at the heart of Orchard – Takashimaya!

Yeah!! I’m the earliest and I get to pick where I wanna sit!! Muahahahaha! But as you can see, this workshop is catered to a small group.. Hence sitting anywhere is fine la!

In the training room, they had displayed most of their product nicely and (oh man!) all of them look so class!

Above products are some face mask, toner, serum, moisturizer..

And here’s the cleansing oil, cleansing milk, cleanser..

Now for the star product!! Moisture Veil Creamy Liquid Foundation and loose powder!

You must be thinking.. “Nah~ just another regular foundation.. Effect is good only for the first few mins/hours.. End of the day I still prefer my all-time favourite.. ”

I admit, I had that thought tooo! But this workshop totally blown my mind away!!! FAR away! (LOL..)

At first glance, I’m attracted to the point whereby it brighten dull skin and cover spot!! Not only that, it prevent spots and freckles caused by UV rays tooo!! Can’t wait for the workshop to start!! ^__^

Currently, this foundation has 8 color tone! I can’t remember all 8 color code, but after reading this post if you’re tempted to get one too, head to their counter and talk to the promoter.. They will (and must) pick three color and apply onto your jawline.. The color that blend best will be the tone you should take.. I’m a MO20!

So back to the workshop.. While waiting for other attendee, I camwhore a bit w my “bare” face.. Only applied BB cream and eyeliner.

I know this is irrelevant but I super love their mirror, it can be table top mirror or hand held mirror just within a second.. And it’s so pretty – gold with a bling!! *heartz*

RIINNGGG~~ the class is starting!! Here’s our trainer for today, Ms. Wani (hope I got her name right!!)

So like the benefits I mention above, do you know why your skin can stay beautiful as time passes? It’s because of Covermark’s “coverage by light” technology!! Moisture Veil Creamy Liquid catches light, beautifully reflecting them and making skin look brighter as time passes. The Pure Bright Pigment attracts and reflects light making the skin look illuminated from within! “From within” ok!! That means when people see you, they will comment u have good skin rather than good makeup!! Sounds better right!?

Yes, pretty bare face~ Just BB cream and eyeliner!

And now we’re gonna remove them with Covermark Cleansing Milk!

Pump appropriate amount and spread onto 5 area like above pic and then massage in circular motion to remove your makeup!

Really is “OMG” letting you see this face!! My cute freckles are everywhere!!! LOL…

After applying toner, serum and moisturizer, it’s time for makeup base! Covermark have two kinda makeup base. Moisture Clear Base and Connecting Base.

Moisture Clear Base is good enough if you’re gonna be in air-con room (non-direct sunlight)! Because it will not make your face too oily later…

Here… This is how the promoter should do the matching for you when selecting the right foundation color tone.. I suppose you can tell which one it matching one for me right??

After selecting the tone, of course we have to apply them onto our face but before that can you guess the amount we should use to look beautiful? 20 cent coin size? TOO BIG, my gosh!!! How about 1 cent coin?? No.. All we need is a pea size!!

Just like that and we can apply onto our whole face to look like we have smooth silky skin!!

Skin immediately looks smoother and more even skin tone!! If you ask me, I think this foundation is good! Spreading it across my face is really easy and smooth! Even after half a day later, my face still looks good!! Especially now in my new office location, the walking journey from MRT station to my office is no joke! With regular BB cream/foundation, by the time I reach office, my makeup has already melted and turn cakey! they lasted less than 3 hours on my face! But this foundation lasted better than I expected! I looked into the mirror when I reach office, I still look awesome la!! hahaha!! I’m super happy I get to know this product!!

Back to the workshop!

After foundation, we applied the loose powder! The powder is very fine and you know what, it has moisturize effect too!! I’m like “Huh? Powder can moisturized my skin too?”

Yes it can! And not only it can provide moisturizing effect, it can reflect light tooo!

Seee.. I look so much better after the makeup right!!? Face like so smooth and so flawless!! Super like the effect man!!

And now with my HALF face eye makeup.. I think I look gorgeous already!! LOL…

So these are the products we had used for the workshop.. I’m still very amazed with the creamy liquid foundation effect!!

Because it’s not just a blush, it can do highlight too.. and the casing very sui (pretty) oh~ I tried the blusher during the hands on workshop and I find it really good. The powder can be picked up easily bjt yet not too heavy when u smack them on your cheek.. it look really natural (you can tell crom the pic right?)

Overall, I find this workshop really beneficial to me. You know as time passes, we tends to forget about some makeup basic.. Hence attending workshop like this can refresh our memory.. Plus you get to know such awesome product! I pretty sure I will missed this creamy liquid foundation if I hadn’t attend tnus workshop!

Covermark Door Gift!!

Remember i mentioned (blogged) about going to a workshop by covermark?? yeah .. you should cuz i blogged about it just less than a week ago!! hahahahaa!! See HERE!

So how much did i spend on this???? NONE!!! Because this is my door gift!!! It’s almost unbelieveable to me~~~ so much goodies in this little bag!!

Now first thing in my list….

After your loooong day at work or even shopping… time to remove makeup when you reach home!! arrg… tired! but fear not! this cleansing oil is as good as all other cleansing oil.. just a little bit u can remove your foundation.. not too sure about waterproof mascara but.. i think should be ok.. =P

NEXT.. Mineral Face Wash! This face wash works abit like Ettusais Pore Care Wash… u need to latter the face wash into foam.. thick solid foam.. The trick in using this is… use ur fingers & massage the foam onto ur face.. KEY POINT massage the foam!! not massage ur face..! too profound? that means the foam act as a medium between ur fingers and face, ur fingers are not allowed to touch ur face! This way, the dirt and dust will then be able to be carry away by the foam and not cause wrinkle to your pretty face..

After face wash.. remember to use your toner… this is one of they key product, Cell Advance Lotion.. it actually help to repair our Mother Cell.. What is mother cell u asking?? Mother Cell works like a mother.. it gives birth to more cell.. Thus u need a good mother cell to produce good baby cell.. If your mother cell is “sick” then ur baby cell will not be good too~ This will cause skin condition to go down down down…

What’s next!? serum of cuz!! this is also a cell advance formula! need to say more? hahah!

NOW… face clean clean.. time to put on makeup to start ur day!!? Here’s the connecting base coat! Like what its called, this is a makeup base. In this covermark door gift, there is two type of makeup base. This connecting base is suitable for oily/combination skin.

Tried it personally and quite like it.. it can even out my skin tone and can actually wear it nude like this.. looks presentable too! SUI!!

Here this is the other type that is more suitable for dry skin? haven try this but i think most prolly i’ll share with my sister? hahaah! lucky her! =P

Ok! makeup base set!! next up will be foundation! This is their star product! The Moisture Veil LX! This sample is actually only good for one use per color.

So what is Moisture Veil LX? It’s a new technology that converts sebum into the factor for luminous, moisturized skin. More luminous and moisturized the moment you apply it, but also as time passes. The more time passes, the deeper the beauty becomes. This is the first for a powder foundation. With a single patting on, it feels marshmallow light and gives skin a moist luster.

PRODUCT FEATURE: (quoted from their official site)

Sandwich complex (multi-layer) powder converts sebum into skin radiance. Catches and gelates sebum on the surface of the skin to block it from causing cosmetic breakdown and darkening. When skin brightening powder catches sebum, it also tones up the skin and makes it more luminous as time passes.
Moisture-converting powder changes into a cream that coats the skin and keeps moisture from evaporating, thereby keeping the skin moisturized.
Contains plants extract that protect your skin from dryness

HOW TO USE:

Tips for beautiful finish

* For areas with imperfections, dab powder on sponge bit by bit and pat onto the skin to avoid creating a heavy look.

* Do not dampen the sponge. This may cause the foundation’s surface to harden.

* The powder contains lots of moisturizers. Always keep the sponge clean and store on the clear tray inside the case, because the powder won’t spread evenly and thinly if the sponge contains any left over powder.

When using for touch up

* If there are shiny areas, lightly press them with tissue paper or blotting sheet.

* On areas with creased foundation, do not reapply. Instead mend the unevenness by lightly patting with a sponge.

* On areas where the foundation has fallen off, dab a small amount of the powder onto sponge and spread it evenly to recover a smooth, natural look.

Covermark Workshop!

What do you normally do on weekend!? SLEEP?? SHOPPING?? MOVIE??? Well.. no time for this..! My Saturday (29 Sep) is a very anticipated one!! hahahahaa!! Soo looking fwd to this workshop since day one I register!!

How did i get to know this workshop?? haha!! Read more magazine! Esp Singapore Women’s Weekly! got to know this workshop from SWW Mag! This workshop cost S$30 but is fully redeemable fro Covermark products!! and guess what!? first 100 to sign up, you will get a goodie bag worth S$100!!! gues what again!!! i’m the first 100!! well i guess everybody’s the first 100 because i saw everyone holding the same thing as mi!

So here i am!! We (me and my girlfriend) were the first few to reach!! no prize but got door gift – this door gift is the S$100 worth of goodie bag! i’ll skip the 15min refreshment part! hahahaahha~~ it’s just about light snacks and drinks!!

We were ushered in and get a good seat! I see many interesting stuff at my station!! Mirror.. Mentos! blusher, highligher.. hair pins!

Out of all the items, only the mirror and this small pack can be “tabao” home!

Another thing that caught my attention is this row of…. FOUNDATION! What’s the difference? They are actually the same thing just different state!

No.1: Liquid Foundation.. Normal liquid foundation.

No.2: After much STIRRING.. REALLY LOTSA STIRRING, it will become powder. Why powder? cuz the stirring made the liquid evapourated.. (if i din rmb wrongly this is really the reason!)

No.3: CONTINUE stirring.. and it will become FINEEEE powder! This is the state of normal loose powder..

No.4: Never-dying-stir-job is tiring but you will get a very ULTRA FINE until airy powder (with the aid of some secret ingredient).. and this is the final, so-called final, product of Covermark foundation!

That is why covermark foundation are so good! Good coverage, Good moisturizing effect, Good wrinkle filler! not even smile line will show! hahahaah..

In this pic, on the left is the Trainer from Japan and on the right is Thailand’s Trainer a.k.a. translator! they showed us how to do simple face massage techniques and how to apply foundation the right way..

We were each given one MINI mask (soooo cute right!?) to try out.. well i have to say.. i can’t really see the difference.. but the serum in it is definitely very solid..

So after all the cleansing.. toner.. masking.. it’s time to hands-on!

The model here so poor thing.. the spot light is giving out way too much heat! It’s pretty hot sitting under that big bright light.. But thanks to her, i now know why Moisture Veil EX is a star buy!!! It’s really good!! really make u look so natural with flawless skin!
