Pacman in action!

It’s been soooooo LONG since I last try another nail art! Today I’m gonna show you (in my nail art) what the 90s kid have been playing!! ……..The Pac-Man!!

Pac-Man (パックマン Pakkuman) is an arcade game developed by Namco and first released in Japan on 22 May 1980. It was licensed for distribution in the United States by Midway and released in October 1980. Immensely popular from its original release to the present day, Pac-Man is considered one of the classics of the medium, virtually synonymous with video games, and an icon of 1980s popular culture. Upon its release, the game – and subsequent Pac-Man derivatives – became a social phenomenon that sold a large amount of merchandise and also inspired, among other things, an animated television series and a top-ten hit single!

How to play? The player controls Pac-Man through a blue maze, eating pac-dots and fruit. When all pac-dots are eaten, Pac-Man is taken to the next stage. Between some stages one of three intermission animations plays. Four enemies (I usually call them “ghost” – Blinky, Pinky, Inky and Clyde) roam the maze, trying to catch Pac-Man. If any of them touches Pac-Man, a life is lost and the Pac-Man itself withers and dies. When all lives have been lost, the game ends. Of-course this is not as easy as it seems but I’m not gonna go into details of it..

Without further ado, shall I introduce my Pac-Man & Ghost to you?? Heee!! 😀

On my index finger, it’s Oikake a.k.a. Shadow (Blinky), which is the Red Ghost.

On my middle finger, it’s Kimagure a.k.a Bashful (Inky), which is the Cyan Ghost (well, because I don’t have cyan polish so i used alternative closest color..)

On my ring finger, it’s Machibuse a.k.a. Speedy (Pinky), which is the Pink Ghost (I think light pink doesn’t looks good on me so i changed to a lilac polish)

On my lil finger, it’s Otoboke a.k.a Pokey (Clyde), which is the orange Ghost.

In case you’re wondering what the Japanese name means… Here a quick translation:

<Name> – <Meaning>

Oikake – Chaser

Kimagure – Fickle

Machibuse – Ambusher

Otoboke – Stupid

On my thumb, needless to say, he’s our Pakkuman a.k.a. Pac-Man and his pac-dots!! *clap-clap-clap*

My apologies for the super untidy edge, especially on my thumbs! I think I need to put my pair spectacles to good use already! T_T

Dear readers,

I’m soooo sorry that i missed out this post!! My August Trove! This trove is quite useful for me in a way.. it’s all stuff that i will use.. 🙂

First.. Oilum body cleanser and lotion.. hahahaha!! u know wat? this body cleanser made mi cracked my head for days thinking… “This fragrance is soo familiar!! What is it????” strawberry?? NO! lavendar?? NO!! white musk?? NO!!! it was till the last drop and i went…. AHHH BANANA!!!!! It is BANANA!!! the sweetness of a ripe banana~!!

I din mean to say it smell horrible.. i mean banana is nice!! sweet.. made me a little hungry tho.. I haven try the lotion but i’m already looking fwd to use it..

Just one note.. item looks like an old stock~ label prints are like washed out.. 😦 i hope it is not..

NEXT~~~ *drumroll*

Princess Pinki cream!!!!! wow! those who read my blog.. you knew i bought a Princess Pinki Trove some time ago in July.. and now i see this cream.. i was like.. WTH~!! If this is included in a regular trove then why should/would i spend my money on the limited edition one?!

True enuff that for a $25 trove its very joyous thing to rec’d a princess pinki but the thot of myself spending $40 on the limited edition made me goes crazy~!!! %^&*#$

Here.. another serum.. i think this can be found in Sasa.. haven use this yet.. guess will review it when i used it.

Eye Shadow~ well.. eye shadow is my forever nightmare~ i can nvr do my eyeshadow neatly nicely~!!! But still is is good to see some cosmetic in my trove!!

Wow~!! BB Cream.. my love~~ this is from Pure Beauty. i don’t think this bb cream have any sunblock effect as nothing like thst was stated in and out of the packaging.. i believe this is a full BB Cream and i plan to gift it out as Christmas gift to my friend! I cant bear to say goodbye to it but the fact that it has no SPF made me felt … “oh i still need extra sunblock care”.. pure laziness! >_<

Are all beauty surprise box gona do same thing every month?? they all include eyeshadow and nail polish in the same month~! but i muz say.. i prefer this color more than what i got in Bellabox!

This is a almost nude color with some duochrome effect~! very pretty.. its a good color for days when i want to go simple but let people notice i’m wearing polish~!

Next few items that im gona show u are the extra treats i got from entering the promo code into my subscription.

How to get the promo code? Just need to share that one particular post that VT post on their wall every month telling you what’s the theme for the coming trove, follow the steps and they will send you the code to enter to your subscription!

What did i get? haha! Leader’s Hydrgel Eye Patch.. it’s quite light weight and fits nicely. Cooling and the fact that it is transparent, people can’t see that you are doing your masking session unless they come very near you!! hahahaha!!

No more “I SAW A GHOST” incident… =P

Next here is this sweet yummy mask!!! this mask is sooooo sweet and smell so yummy! i love this~! this brand is quite common and i think it has been around for quite some times already.

My skin feels clean and smooth after i washed off the mask.. definitely a mask that i will purchase again.. *thumbs up!*

It’s another pure beauty cream.. but this time it is not eye cream! this is a lotion!! haven use it tho but i believe it will smell as nice effect as good as the eye cream!

Together in this month’s trove, there is a complimentary facial and a S$5 Sasa voucher! Sasa voucher is super useful for me.. as for the facial… i think i can go when i have the time!

THIS IS COOL! Vanity Trove Pink Carpet event – Sally Hansen Nail Care Nail Art Workshop!! I’m so tempted to go~!! but.. need to save up quite a bit so i think gona give it a miss this time.. 😦

I might change my mind anytime tho~! wahahahaha!!

ok.. i think i have not shown you my latest nail art that i tried doing.. this time its not any linear or polka dots.. its an insect. erm wait.. ladybug an insect rite?? *raise brow* its a simple nail art that doesnt need much skills in fact..

I know i know… u muz be thinking y is my ladybug shaking!!!?? LOL. this is the result of bad nail day! i had try many colors last weekend but nth turn out nice.. shaky hands.. spoiler accidents.. then i decided to gv up and just try doing something that i saw on youtube the other day.. which is this ladybug! you can watch the youtube tutorial HERE.

When i wanted to do this.. i realise… i do not have a black polish! so i pull out my thin brush art polish to TRY painting sth!

Index finger: i used my new Essie Too Too Hot as base color because i wanted a more vibrant looking bug.. then i used my thin brush polish to start drawing and dotting tools to start dotting.. and result is wat u see…

Middle finger: i don know wat am i thinking.. i tot dotting mite be easier to draw the lines, so i starting dotting throughout!! result!! jaggered bug!

i did some photo effect so what u see here mite not be true to color..

20 Mar 2012: adding a tutorial video by cutepolish here to share. This is whr im inspired, but i think she’ll wana cry if she get to see this! wat a shaky ladybug i have here!! LOL!!

Tempted to compare!

I have 4 similar colours…!!! Am I crazy for this tone or wat!?!! Hahahaha..! Coincidence purchase la!! It’s only when I brought home my CG high hopes thn I realize this amazing finding!

Well.. Since I have them, I decided to do a simple comparison! Not too complex as im not a professional nail blogger anyway.. Chey~~ hahaha! (pardon mi! I muz be slpy! Blogging at the hour is a struggle! *yawn*) I took photos of my nails aft applying the every coat..

Names of the polish had been indicated in the photo so I will not be introducing them again.. You can do a google search if you would like to have more details..

Well, applying all these first coat made mi falls in love with Essie almost immediately! It’s so solid ! I think 1 coat is more than enuff! The red looks young and cheery but not childish!! U wun look like one “ah lian” when wearing Too Too Hot! Hahahaha!! (Now I know y Essie is so hot!) Love this new babe!! 2nd in my favorite list is OPI’s latest Holland Collection, Red Lights Ahead… Where?!! Din expect to like this colour tho… I think the color is very very close to Too Too Hot!! Putting both together I would say TTH is a sweeter tone of red (probably not too obvious in my pic) while RLH is more to bright red? And both have a teeni weeni touch of deep orange.. That makes both.. Orangie red.. The common term ppl use to describe this kinda red I guess would be “coral red”…

China Glaze High Hope is also another color that got mi so excited to the extend of walking back to the stall to grab one after I see my sis applying it!!!! The eye catching orangie hot pink is definitely a no-regret buy for mi!!! 1 coat is good as well!!!

As compared to these 3, I’m His Coral-Friend seems to hv lose out a bit here.. The lacquer is much ‘thinner’ than the others.. As u can see, juz one coat ain’t enuff; nail tip is still visible.. But it sure is a multipurpose color. LOL! Y I say that?? Cuz its color look so gentle yet so bright.. It seems to be able to bring out that lil naughtiness under your gentle character! Lolx!

What u see above is after applying the 2nd coat.. What do u think??? Not much a diff for Too Too Hot, High Hope & Red Lights Ahead… Where? .. But for Coral-Friend, I believe u now can see that it’s slight thicker and nail tip not that obvious now..

Think I’m gona do Essie Too Too Hot some day soooooon!!
